"hey sky daddy" a smug voice made it's way to the ears of a old man who sat on sprawled on his lounge. he perked up as his name was called out, a tedious look masking his face as he watched his son happily skipping towards him.

the son made his way sitting on the opposite side, happiness gleaming in his eyes and a unwavering smile playing on his lips. "listen we talked about this- I told you to stop calling me by that name" his father interjected, slightly dejected by that endearment.

"okayy Jihoon" his son teased. "what are you doing here? the assembly is about to begin" he quipped wondering why his old man was not proceeding towards the hall.

the man sighed sitting up straight relaxing his muscles as he left a short yawn "change of plans"

the son tilted his head slightly looking at him with confused eyes "why?" he asked. "because I dictate the orders here" Jihoon said firmly adjusting his white robe as he stood up walking towards his throne.

"because I dictate the orders here" his son, Taeil mocked him, speaking in a weird heavy tone. his father only spared him a glance before shifting his eyes to the figures that appeared one after other from behind the white smoke.

soon everyone had arrived and had settled down in front of their monarch, it was just a small assembly with the Archangels, the messengers of the king, ultimately the God himself.

the meeting proceeded for about an hour or two, reports regarding about the updates on the earth realm where discussed- that was the agenda of today's assembly.

Taeil, too, sat their watching as the elders conversed, his attention keen on the points they mentioned one by one as he himself sorted out the solutions in his head, but he was afraid to bring them out to his father, so he sat quietly.

that didn't go unnoticed by Jihoon, he had an eye on how his son comprehended the situations- a small triumphant smile forming on his lips as he saw his son completely involving himself in the meeting.

but that smile fell weak against the fact that the boy is afraid of speaking out his thoughts aloud. diverting his attention back to the assembly he continued giving his own perspectives.

"Taeil, someday you'll be the one doing this"

the assembly had now ended and the Archangels were back on their way leaving for their respective areas back to where they belong.

however, Taeil still sat there, deep in his thoughts and those small connections somehow ended up reminding him about a particular incident that happened almost 18 years ago. eyes drowning into the infinite sky, his legs gently swaying amongst the fluffy white clouds- that presumably was the floor where the whole realm laid upon, the Heaven.

"what's on your mind?" his dad cut off his thoughts bringing him back to the present.

Taeil pondered upon it, debating whether he should ask or not and he ended up asking, "Jihoon, you remember that shocking accident years ago?"
