Rory POV

Locking my phone I sigh and drop my head against the back of the conversation pit. I am so bored. It's been around 15 minutes and Killian still hasn't come back.

Standing up I walk over the the floor to ceiling windows that have been covered up with curtains, I have been relying on the overhead lights as the sky is beginning to darken.

Pulling away a curtain I notice a door behind it leading to a balcony. I flip the lock and pull it open walking outside. Looking to the right I notice a hot tub beneath a wooden canopy with speakers mounted in 2 corners. There's outdoor seating to the left and I walk towards it planning on sitting out here until Killian gets back but I hear distant noises that pull me toward the edge of the balcony.

Looking out over the trees I can see my town in the distance. Hell if I squint I can see the edge of the south side. Apart from the town all I see are trees, I knew we were surrounded by Forrest area but to see it with my own eyes has me stuck in place in awe.

Even to see this town span out larger than what I thought it was has me in shock. I knew I hadn't seen the entire place yet but I had no idea it was this large, plus I'm aware that there is so much more behind the building I'm currently viewing the scenery on.

Another growl like sound draws my attention to the forest line where I usually enter into the town from.

My eyes go wide as I notice the exact large wolves that had chased me before moving past the trees and walking up the street. I grip onto the cold metallic bar in front of my breathing fastening as I dart my eyes around to make sure no humans are wandering around unaware of the danger so close by. I begin nodding my head out of reassurance when I don't manage to see anyone and I look back to the wolves, there's got to be like 20 of them approaching and I'm not sure who to alert.

I then see one walk out of the forest clearly larger than the rest and my heart drops. The largest of the pack easily strides to the front leading the rest in my direction and my fight or flight kicks in as I run back into the penthouse shutting and locking the door knowing there is no chance wolves could somehow climb to the 6th floor of this building but it doesn't stop me from pulling the curtain back into place harshly.

I run a hand through my hair trying to think of my next steps. I run over the the seat I was sat previously in the conversation pit and grab the key to the penthouse and running to the front door. I go to the elevator and press the button and while waiting on its arrival I turn back to the front door and easily lock it just on time for the doors of the elevators to ding open.

I immediately press the ground floor button twice for good measure and watch as the doors shut. My main worry is that if I don't warn people soon enough of the beasts lurking outside this building someone will go out and get hurt.

"Fuck" I breathe out shaking the nerves out of my hands bouncing back and forth on the balls of my feet.

After what feels like forever the doors open and I sprint down the lobby stairs towards the room I followed the woman into 25minutes ago.

Just as I fling open the door I'm met with a joyful atmosphere. And a lot of people hugging. There are many men clad in just basketball shorts and some women in gym shorts and sports bras hugging who I assume are friends or family.

I spot Nate from earlier wearing the gym shorts hugging his 3 children as the woman I didn't catch the name of watches happily.
