Rory POVPapers begin to fly from underneath 'Jim's' feet as he barrels his way along the extended glass table. Other members of the council try to grab at his shins to stop him from whatever he intends to do - which from my perspective seems to be kill me. It feels like time seems to slow down as I connect eyes with him, fury firing through the black colour. My mouth gapes open wanting to scream but I can't hear any other noise aside from yelling of men and women around the room. I catch a glimpse of Killian's parents who seem unfazed by the chaotic situation at hand... almost intrigued at what will happen. I notice their focus is particularly on Killian rather than their out of control staff member.
Looking back at Killian I notice his shoulders hunch up with each stride Jim takes in my direction. I hurriedly look at the large door behind my back and then my hands frantically grab at the handle but in my panic I can't figure out if it's a push or pull so I'm just yanking it anyway I can.
When I turn my head over my shoulder still pulling on the door I see Jim leap from the table toward me but just as he is about to pass by killian, Killian snaps his left arm out and clamps his fist around Jim's neck harshly. The only speed I could compare it to is the way a frogs tongue darts out to catch an unsuspecting fly.
I freeze as I watch Killian raise the slightly heavy looking man a foot off the ground. Killian only keeps his head down to his chest not allowing anyone to see his emotions. His knuckles go pale white as Jim's sausage sized fingers claw at them begging for a clear airway. His face becomes increasingly red and just as I think he'll lose consciousness Killian slams him down to the floor still keeping his hand attached to the mans neck. Killian now bent down on one knee he hovers his face over the dying man. I can now see the profile of his face and I've never seen such hate. His glare is so sharp I can't believe there's not lasers beaming from his eyes and killing Jim where he lies.
"Do you submit?" Killian seethes pressing harder on the council members throat.
Jim takes his time responding but I question if that's due to the uncomfortable position he's in.
"Yes... yes I... submit" he chokes.
Killian slowly releases the man and stands back up to his full height rugged breathing making him seem that much more powerful.
"Does anyone else wish harm on my mate?" It seems the more time he spends in this castle the more he allows his Irish accent to come through. After that ordeal though I doubt he's concentrating on how he presents himself. All other seated werewolves avoid even looking in Killians direction aside from his parents who's seem proud of the outcome that just happened.
I let go of the door handle and take a shallow step forward again to be back at Dom's side. He gives me a reassuring smile but it's quickly wiped off when we sense movement to our right.
Jim pounces up and hurls toward us causing me to scream out of fright, Killian is no longer a barrier in between us.
"Killian!" I shout feeling trapped in the corner of the room.
Dom stands in front of me but I can feel he's scared as well. Neither of us are a match for an angry werewolf, we'll be ripped to shreds.
Jim in an instant reaches us and violently throws Dom into the wall beside us leaving him winded on the floor. I hear a faint pained groan "Rory..." from him but I couldn't respond because the next thing I know I'm pushed against the door I was just trying to use as an escape route. I yelp as the door handle crashes into my spine making tears instantly form in my eyes.
