CHAPTER 17

Rory POV

The journey from the woods back up-to Killians office was silent amongst the group. Thankfully Killian put me down when we got inside but once his body heat had left me I begun shivering. Killian informed me that the group of wolves that included Monica and Damien would change back to their human selves in private (due to the nakedness) and when they come back Damien will supply me some of Freya's clothing.

It didn't take long for them to meet us on the top floor.

"Hey Rory here take these, god you must be freezing" Damien rushed to hand me the pair of black leggings, plain grey T-shirt and a green oversized hoodie that probably drowns freya.

I quickly pluck the key to Killians penthouse from his fingers and head to his guest bathroom rather than his en-suite this time. I turn on his shower the urge of wanting the dirty water out of my hair growing stronger the more I feel it drying.

I take the quickest shower known to man feeling like I should be in the office right now with everyone else to get answers.

Drying myself off I pull on the borrowed clothes and wrap my hair in a towel. Looking in the mirror i hype myself to go into the office like this, telling myself over and over I don't like an idiot.

I shove my dirty clothes into the hamper in the bathroom, I'll come back for them later.

I slowly open the office door not wanting to interrupt any on going conversations. Looking in I spot Killian almost immediately sat behind his desk, his fists clutched together in front of his mouth, a serious expression on his face as his eyes are already on me like he could sense I was outside the door.

Monica, Damien and Dominic are huddled in the corner talking amongst themselves yet to notice my arrival. And then my eyes are drawn to two other men I've not met. They are sat down on the chairs in front of Killians desk.

One of them turns and spots me first, his eyes lighting up as he walks over to me.

"Rory! I've heard so much about you" he walks and opens the door fully so that I'm now exposed fo the office of people. He brings me into a hug unexpectedly and my eyes go wide unsure who this man is. Awkwardly I place my hands on his back to reciprocate the hug not wanting to offend him in anyway.

Pulling away he smiles "I'm Milo"

"Hi Milo, it's nice to meet you" I smile politely

A throat clears "Rory come take a seat" looking over I see Killian staring at our interaction, looking at Milo once more I smile and walk to the seat he was just in and sit.

"Hello Rory I'm George, that idiots older brother and beta to Killian" the other man leans over his chair and offers his hand for me to shake which I take and smile saying another hello.

"Sorry beta?" I ask

"I'm in simple terms I'm just his right hand man, second in charge" george explains

"Oh okay" I nod glancing at Killian who's eyes have not left me since I came in.

Looking over at the two brothers they look very familiar but I can't put my finger on where.
