The Reunion

It was late afternoon, and I used the time that it took to get from the airport to our apartment to take in all the sights that I had missed so much, the architecture of Sweden was beautiful and the whole city was decorated for Christmas. I relaxed in the passenger seat, feeling at ease.

"So I was thinking that we could go shopping for you're furniture tomorrow?" We had been driving for a few minutes, through the traffic of the city centre and into the more suburban area surrounding it.

"Yeah, that sounds great" I wasn't feeling my best, having a slight case of jet lag.

"You're going to love our apartment" Anna had a huge smile on her face, like she was hiding something from me. I was about to ask her what it was until I felt the car slow down and turn into the parking lot of an apartment complex, I looked up at the tall brick building, I could tell just from the outside that it was so much more nicer then my old apartment in Australia. I got out of the car and stretched, admiring my new home.

"Anna, this is amazing"

"Just wait until you see inside"

Anna opened the door and I stepped inside, it was impressive, a lot bigger then I had expected and through the window I could see the harbour. Anna had already furnished all the rooms except for mine.

"Holy crap, this is awesome!"

Anna laughed at my excitement and showed me my bedroom, like all the other rooms it was much bigger then my old apartment, I put the boxes Anna and I where carrying in the corner, I would unpack them later. I had a shower and changed, it was refreshing after all those hours on the plane.

"Lets go get the other boxes before it gets too dark"

"Ok, but first I have something to show you" Anna grabbed my hand and led me out of the apartment and back into the elevator we had taken to get up here, she pressed the button to take us up another two floors.

"What in the world is going on?" I was very confused.

"You'll see" Again she had that smile that showed she was up to no good.

She lead me to another apartment and knocked on the door before quickly covering my eyes, I heard the door unlock and Anna's hands flew from my face.

"TA-DA!"

I blinked trying to refocus my eyes after they had been covered in darkness, and then he was there, standing close enough to touch but I was frozen, unable to move, unable to breath. He seemed confused at first, looking at Anna then to me, suddenly realization hit him and he launched forward, pulling me into a hug. I  wrapped my arms around him and snuggled into his chest, and instantly all the effort I put into getting over him was all in vane. 

"Ally, you're back!" He rested his chin on my head and pulled me even closer.

"I promised you I would come back one day" I fought back as many tears as I could but a few still welled up in my eyes. It felt perfect being back in his arms and for a moment I thought that we could be happy together again, but that was just a delusion. Felix would never be mine again.
