CHAPTER 25

It was evening again and we spent the best part of the day trying to work out the best good strategy, to rescue our brother Yioki and the leader of Sheanna's people, but as time went on we were running out of good ideas.

Our best chance would have included the Dragon, which could have created a descent amount of distraction, for us to simply sneak in, find our people, and escape.

But now, it seems, our team has split into two camps. My brother and I agreed to sneak in during the night, using the darkness to our advantage, even without the distraction.

The other camp agreed, that option would've be suicide, and so Keraskes, aka The General, decided we should wait for a better plan or opportunity.

Pietro, who decided to join our crusade, also came up with a plan, in which it would involve conjuring a spell, creating fire in the sky,to create distraction.

But we all decided it would be too risky, as there seemed to be powerful wizards, that could easily counter the spell.

" Let us try our way first, since I think it's the only plan for the moment." Said Paulos." And if we don't succeed, we'll...."He continued, before being interupted.

"Wait! I said, "The Dragon is awake, and is trying to communicate with me...But he seems weak!"

"Norak, listen to me, we may not get another opportunity!" Said the Dragon, sluggishly in my head. "

They've done something to me, can't move! Bring the boy and ask him for the white crystal, wear it to help you control your power, do it now! Come now!" Continued the Dragon, then suddenly went quiet.

I looked around and saw everyone was staring at me. "Alright new plan." I said, turning to Pietro.

"Pietro, do you trust me?"

He looked at me, squinted his eyes for a moment.

" I have been training for five years in that prison school, called Nisso, and one of the things we had to learn was, how to analyse situations, people, and ehm...." Pietro said looking me up and down while gesturing his hand at the same time.

" And besides," He continued, holding up the white crystal, and handing it over to me." I do trust you! So what are we waiting for? Didn't he say to come right now?"

One look on everyone's faces, and you would have seen only confusion, but none bigger than mine.

"Wait, did you hear the Dragon in your head too?" I said

"Only while in possession of this white crystal." He said still dangling the stone from a rope. "To be honest, not quite sure how it works, It's complicated. So ready when you are!" He said, eager to go.

I nodded, took the stone, and prepared to leave, then looked at everyone before finally at Paulos. " Forgive me brother, but Pietro and i have to do this alone!" I said as we rose upwards towards the treetops .

Pietro and I had no idea why the sudden urgency from the Dragon, but for some reason, our instinct, told us to follow through and trust it.

Torches were lit on top of all the guard towers, with soldiers on each posts, as we watched from treetops, and scouted the night sky for anything that moved.

Pietro sat uncomfortably on the spear, akwardly holding on to my waist, trying to stay seated, and without complaining, too much.

"Can you use your talents to help find the Dragon, somehow?" I said, turning my head so he could hear me better at the back.

"Try holding the crystal in your hand and imagine him in your mind... Then try communicating."

The very moment I held the stone in my hand I felt an enormous energy flowing through me .
