THIRD POV

Sukhee and Y/N returned home without their guardian since he's very busy with work and has many responsibilities. However, they didn't seem to mind it at all.

Y/N and Sukhee prepared dinner and ate ahead of their adoptive father.

In the course of dinner, Sukhee couldn't help herself from asking y/n, but sighed harshly, which made y/n glance at her.

"Can I ask you an unexpected question?"

"What is it?"

As Y/N grabbed her drink, Sukhee asked, "Is there something going on between you and Jeongwoo?"

Her eyes widened as she spits out a few drops of water. She nearly choked on it.

"W-What?"

"The two of you seemed very close in the hall, and I know you have many friends. However, one of them is soon to be an idol?"

"The truth is that we met each other in the cafe last week and that's it. We aren't close like that..."

"So was that an ice cream for Jeongwoo?"

"Yeah, I wanted to make sure he wouldn't feel left out, so I added another."

As she raised her eyebrows, she said, "Even though he didn't want one? He didn't raise his arm."

"Really? W-Well, at least he didn't mind taking it from me."

"Do you like him?"

"NO!"

"It wasn't necessary to shout, you know? I was just asking, you're cute!"

"But why do you ask?"

"You were smiling widely when you were with him. That is the first time that I have seen you smile widely." Sukee said with an eye smile.

"Could I ever find such happiness? What about you?"

"Whenever you are happy, I am happy. However, there are times when I am happy that is not you, so I am sure you will find the happiness you seek. Don't rush it. Let it take its course."

"But don't you find it odd that someone adopted us without knowing our history?"

"Yah, are you still on that?" 

"I want to know what his intentions are."

They had no idea he had heard every word, and he joined their conversation by saying, "Do you want to know?"

After being startled, they called out, "Sir!"

Once more he frowned at them, wondering, "What did I say about being called that at home?"

"We still have not gotten used to it, sir," Y/N replied with a thin smile.

"I understand, but I'm upset~"

Sukhee chuckled at his whiny side, "We will call you that soon and comfortably."

"I have no knowledge of your family, but when I first saw you two, I knew right away that it had to be you two. I did hear the rumors, but that doesn't mean I should believe them without seeing for myself. I'm sure your parents have raised you both well."

"Are you happy with us even now?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I? My wife died in a car accident with twin daughters in her stomach."

They gasped shockingly.

"Even though you guys aren't twins, I felt my wife wanted me to adopt both of you. If she was still alive, she would be happier to see you two."
