THIRD POV

Y/N finally came home after a long time spent with Jeongwoo. She felt relieved to have a serious talk with him. Then, a hesitation causes her to feel incisive of studying abroad.

Sukhee, on the other hand, is sitting on the sofa with a book on her hand, and saw Y/N dozing off, "What are you doing?"

Y/N comes back to reality, "Oh? I thought you'll be home late?"

"I was told to go home so I didnt refuse, but dad is home too. So why were you spacing out?"

"I just have lots of things in my mind."

Sukhee then noticed Y/N needs someone to talk to when she learns that y/n is having a hard time expressing her feelings.

"Why? Is it about your work?"

"No, it's not work-related. It's me."

She furrows her eyebrows, and sighs harshly, "Are you comfortable talking about it with me?"

Y/N feels like she's about to cry whenever Sukhee knows something bothers her and has no hesitation to give consolation.

"I...am anxious."

"What makes you feel that way?"

"I feel like everyone is always looking down on me because of our deceased parents. It feels like I didn't deserve to be born in this world. Every single day, I always fake my smile so that no one would know how fragile truly I am..."

"Although there were times that I'm happy to be surrounded with the people I love, this feeling of slightest doubt can't easily be defeated. I don't know how to live in the present without anyone getting in the way. I want to be happy without feeling pressured for living my life. How do I do that? Do I need to beg-"

Sukhee firmly grabbed both of her cheeks and face towards her, "You should never beg anyone to live your life. It's not theirs, it's yours only. If someone has to break that, they'll have to go through me and dad first. Y/N, if this is what you've been feeling all along, why didn't you tell us?"

She couldn't control her tears anymore as she let it flow through her cheeks and sobbed like a baby girl would do.

"Because I didn't want to be a burden..."

Sukhee sighed harshly and smiled weakly, "If you were such a burden to me, then I wouldn't have stood up for you. I would've just ignored you, instead I chose to protect you. That's what sisters are for, right?"

"I want to become a better version of myself."

"Is this because of Jeongwoo?"

"What does Jeongwoo have to do with this?"

"Paboya, I can see it through your face. Who else would you do this for?"

"Myself?"

Sukhee raised her eyebrows surprisingly, "Then you would've done this a long time ago before you met Jeongwoo."

She's so quick-witted.

Y/N blushed harshly and immediately gave in by admitting that Jeongwoo is her biggest reason. She shocked Sukhee with her sudden genuine smile, "Huh? What? Are you smiling?"

"Shh, quit it. You're teasing me, so how can I not?"

"Can't you tell? I'm happy for you. So tell me, is everything going well between you two? Ever since that day, you never interact with him or the boys."

"We're back to being friends so nothing is happening yet."

Sukhee smirked, "Hmm, yet?"

"Unnie, please stop with the tease. I'll hate you."

"Even though you both have mutual feelings for each other? Why can you just make it official?"

"I don't like the thought of being his reasons for giving up on his career. I want him to achieve his dreams. Meanwhile, I also want to strive harder beyond expectations so that Jeongwoo won't be too burdened to be in a relationship with someone like me."

"I don't think you have to worry about that. Jeongwoo isn't that kind of person. He's very strong willed and is going to do whatever it takes to cherish and protect you."

Y/N chuckled happily and admitted that Jeongwoo's personality is really mystery. Their interaction got interrupted when they both sensed a strong aura around them and turned around, "Dad?!"

Sean smiled weakly and decided to join in their conversation, "I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I heard everything from the beginning. I just want to say that you're doing really great, Y/N. You shouldn't belittle yourself too much. It's time that you know your worth."

"I will try not to do that from now on."

"Good. I'm going to suggest something you might like. Do you want to study abroad and explore around? I can get them ready for you whenever you're ready."

"I'd love to, but can I leave as quiet as possible? Only you and Sukhee know about this, is that okay?"

Sukhee frowned, "You're keeping this a secret from Jeongwoo?"

Y/N finds it uncomfortable that Jeongwoo has to know everything about her while she knows nothing about him. They didn't even have a proper introduction and hardly know each other about each other's personalities, likes, dislikes and goals. Jeongwoo is able to focus on his dreams whether Y/N is present or not. Meanwhile, she's unable to rethink her purposes in life because she's head over heels about Jeongwoo.

"Yeah, Jeongwoo is soon to achieve his dream and even though, this will affect him, I'm sure he'll get over it. I'll leave on the day of his debut."

"Y/N... Jeongwoo will not like that at all."

Dad is finding it hard to accept her request, but he can understand where Y/N is getting at, "Since it's your choice, I'll do it so don't worry and enjoy while you're still here. All right?"

Y/N chuckles sweetly and nods her head in agreement, "Yes, I'll do that. I'll not leave with regrets so I have to do as much as I can."

Who knows what will happen to us in the future.

I can only hope that I'm doing the right thing.

For both of us.
