THIRD POV
OFFICE
"Sir, what is it that you wanted to tell me?"
As he opened the door, he saw his daughter standing in front of him, asking, "Yuni? What are you doing here?"
As for Sean, he was disappointed in his daughter.
"Your daughter seems to have grudges against my daughter? I saw her arguing with Sukhee so I brought the two here as I wasn't aware of these issues. Why didn't you report it to me?"
"I thought your daughter had forgiven Yuni."
Sukhee scoffed, "She may have forgiven her, but I'm her older sister, I wouldn't forgive her easily."
"Appa, she's the one who started it when I was just minding my own business at practice!"
Her father then shushed her, "Quiet."
He looked at Sean, "Sir, I'm sorry for my daughter's actions. Be assured that I'll teach her lessons-"
Sukhee gritted her teeth angrily and grabbed her collars, "Forget it! She won't learn anyway. I want her to be suspended until she's changed."
She widened her eyes and said, "I've got dreams, you know!"
"You think Y/N doesn't have dreams? She has been holding back and you just had to ruin it by exposing her identity in public."
"How could I know!?"
"What?"
Sukhee turned around, "Ssaem, did you plan this?"
"Sukhee, leave with Yuni. I want to be alone with him for a while."
"Dad! You can't go easy-"
Sean expressed his feelings angrily, "Leave while I'm asking nicely."
They had left them alone.
"I guess it is time to speak the truth, Mr. Choi."
Mr. Choi scoffed in disbelief, "About what?"
"You've been doing something behind my back, haven't you? I don't remember telling you that my daughter were orphans."
"S-Sir, you've got it wrong~ it wasn't intentional to dig into your family history. I was only shocked to know that Y/N works here..."
"Are you telling me lies or truth? This will be the last time that I'm warning you. If you disappoint me again, I won't hesitate to fire you."
Mr. Choi chuckled nervously, "You've changed, hyung? I'm very suspicious of you when you suddenly adopted them. What are your motives?"
"I have no wrong motives. If you ever spread rumors about my daughters or myself, I won't hesitate to ruin your daughter's dream. Do I make myself clear?"
Mr. Choi gritted his teeth angrily as he clenched his fists, "Yes sir, I am truly sorry."
He sighed harshly, "You may leave. Also, do not abuse your daughter, she's still young to go through that."
Sean heaved a sigh once he was left alone. He clenched his fists anxiously, "I won't let them hurt my daughters. I promised them anyway."
A soft knock startled him.
"Dad, I can't believe you gave in easily."
He chuckled softly and twirled around to face her, "It won't feel right without him as he's been doing great as my secretary and all my responsibilities are also his so I can't just fire him without a backup plan.."
"Still, I'm angry that they haven't apologize for the pain they caused to my sister."
He stood up and embrace her with a hug, "That's why we should leave and make her happy by making memories at our vacay. What do you think?"
Sukhee sulked cutely and nodded her head in agreement, "I'm sorry, Dad, for always causing you so much trouble."
"I'm proud that you're standing up for your sister, don't you ever apologize for that."
They both immediately went to get y/n at the lobby excitedly. Meanwhile, Y/N couldn't handle the stares she was receiving since Jeongwoo decided to stay by her side. Y/N looked up at him and he is shining brightly again.
"J-Jeongwoo, I think it would be best if you could keep your distance from me."
"You can't tell me what to do. I'm waiting for my parents to pick me up."
"Are you headed anywhere?"
"Recently, it was announced we would have three days off."
"What a coincidence~ my family and I are traveling too!"
Y/N's eyes trembled in fear as she heard gossips again and could only smile to get through the pain. Jeongwoo, however, scoffed and turned around hurriedly, but was stopped by her, "Don't do anything... You are better than that, Jeongwoo."
"What's up with Jeongwoo oppa and that orphan girl?"
"Her parents were even worse, but for their daughters to live is sickening."
"Why did Sean adopt them in the first place?"
"He should disown them before it's too late."
He ultimately did nothing for her sake despite the fact he had heard negative things about her. In his mind, he couldn't help but curse them.
"I agree with what you said earlier, Jeongwoo, so I will try to be strong."
Jeongwoo gave her a reassuring smile and pat her head gently, "Good for you. I'll always be here whenever you need me."
"It seems you two get along well?"
After being startled by a sudden voice behind us, we turned around to see our CEO and Sukhee together, "Dad! Unnie!"
In his nervous laugh, Jeongwoo bowed politely, not quite accustomed to the interaction yet.
"Jeongwoo ah!! What are you doing?"
He turned around hastily, "Dad! Mom! Hyung! You're here already?"
Sean suggested they hang out for y/n's sake, "I guess you are all going on a trip too, do you mind if we join you?"
As Sukhee and Y/N stared at him in bewilderment, Jeongwoo was extremely flustered. Suddenly, his mother smiled lovingly and blurted out, "I don't see anything wrong with that. We have booked our trip to Gangwon-do, Chuncheon, is that okay?"
Sean giggled softly, "This must be a coincidence, but we were planning to go there as well~ I've booked a place at Lake 192 so it will be a good place for us to stay in."
In excitement, Mr. Park smiled at Sean, "I think Jeongwoo can ride with you since he's close with your daughter."
Jeongwoo's eyes shook, "Appa!"
Y/N laughed softly as she grabbed his hand and walked to the car, "Don't be awkward around me, especially when I'm with my family."
Y/N and Jeongwoo went into the car holding hands tightly without her realizing, causing everyone in their path to be baffled by their sudden physical contact.
Jeongwoo giggled and whispered softly to her ear, "I'm happy, but won't you regret holding my hand on the way?"
She gasped and blushed harshly as she tries to let go of his hand. But Jeongwoo did not waste any time holding it tight, "Not a chance. Let's stay like this until we reach our destination."
As she gazed at him flustered, she once again doubted her feelings.
Why is he suddenly acting so nice to me?
It is impossible for me to let go of my feelings for him.
The last thing I don't want is to get hurt.
