HARUTO POV
"You've crossed the line! Come with me!"
We just finished our practice and heard a commotion in the hall. Curiosity got the best of us and we saw them going to the restaurant together.
As a result, we all followed her. The problem was that there were too many eyes watching them.
Hyunsuk said, "No matter what, don't get involved, especially Haruto."
Nervously, I swallowed and nodded.
I wonder how y/n is feeling.
"Dad! This is the same woman who harassed me at the cafe."
I swear, that girl really pissed me off.
Her father turned around and said, "You've got the nerve to hurt my daughter."
His eyes shook a bit, "Y-You..."
"Dad, what's wrong?"
She was slapped brutally in front of everyone, which shocked and surprised us, "How could you do this to me, dad?"
"Don't you know whose daughter she is? Are you going to make trouble for me?"
Is her father well-known?
However, y/n did not seem to enjoy the situation. This upsets her more.
The girl furrowed her eyebrows as she glanced at y/n confusingly, "I don't understand what you're talking about."
"Why are you mad at me?"
"This is the daughter of our CEO!"
What? Sean Sajangnim?
We started hearing gossip about her in our surroundings. Not that I am even aware, Y/N was already experiencing hardships at this young age with noona.
One trainee whispered, and Jeongwoo and I heard him clearly, "They both actually got adopted? Seriously? How could Sean adopt those two when their parents were such bad influences on everyone?"
Both of us turned around and said, "Shut up."
We stunned our members and prevented further problems by stopping the act. Then we went back to the situation.
"Y-Y/N, I'm sorry if my daughter has offended you. I promise that I will teach her lessons so please forgive her? We won't let this happen again, right, Yuni?"
Yuni bit her lip and bowed her head in defeat.
"I've forgiven her already, so please don't be too hard on her. That would be much appreciated."
"Thank you. I hope that she doesn't do more harm to you in the future."
The way he grabbed Yuni was brutal, which made her grunt in pain and glared at y/n deadly. When I heard people talking about her and Y/N was standing still, my heart ached.
Her face is pale?
Why don't these people shut their mouths?
Then Jihoon grabbed my shoulder, causing me to divert my gazes at her.
"Let's go, Haruto. We can't get involved."
"But hyung-"
"Haruto, I am warning you this time. We can't get involved in people's lives. Let's go."
The first time Jihoon warned me, I felt frightened. If I get involved, there will be consequences. I am about to debut with these members.
It angers me that I can't help her.
While hissing angrily, I brushed off his arm and ran to her, grabbing her wrist, as we went into a private place where no one could find us.
She was silently weeping.
"I'm here, you can cry all you want."
To bear them all must have been painful for her.
It was impossible for me to do anything when she was leaning on my shoulder.
My heart is racing.
Don't let her hear it.
It's too nerve-wracking for me.
"Thank you, Haruto."
"You're welcome."
"It wasn't necessary to go this far. Aren't you going to be in trouble?"
"It was the right thing to do, I did not want to leave you alone."
"Then don't do it next time, okay?"
She wore a sad expression and I glanced at her as I instinctively grooved my eyebrows, "Why?"
"I don't like to be the one who causes trouble for others."
"Nevertheless, I did so of my own volition. It is not your responsibility to carry those burdens of ours. You get help from them because you are loved."
"Do I deserve it? I'd prefer to be doing everything myself than making everyone miserable over the deaths of our parents."
"Y/N, if you say anything more, I'll be angry. Don't test my patience."
She stood up hastily as she looked at me, "First of all, how could you go this far? Your reasonings earlier were not very convincing."
This time it's me getting scolded.
"I like you.."
While she zoned out, she chuckled nervously, "Uh....".
"So, as your friend, I helped you."
That was close. Her reply wasn't what I wanted to hear at this point.
It's not the right time.
She sighed in relief and gave an eye smile, which sent butterflies in my stomach.
"Is that so? I appreciate your help, but I won't forgive you if you do it again. So don't waste your time worrying about me, you'll debut with your members soon."
While ruffling her hair, I giggled happily, "Ah! Yah! Don't mess it up!"
A smirk appeared on my face as I stared at her lovingly, "I care about you too so don't feel like you don't belong here. Don't listen to those bad ones, listen to the good ones instead."
"I get it already~ so why do you lecture me when we are at the same age?"
"As friends, shouldn't we provide facts?"
"I didn't agree to it."
"Well, you have no choice but to face it. You cannot escape it."
Playfully sticking my tongue out at her, I caused her to scowl in disbelief, "Yah! Now you're really asking to get smacked!"
As I fled from her, giggling at her tantrums, Jihoon dialed me, "What?"
"What? Did you just give me that attitude?"
"No, it's not like that-"
"It's time to come back now."
"I know, and I'm sorry, hyung."
My harsh sigh came as I heard him hang up immediately; I knew the consequences would be terrible. Although I'm prepared, I heard her shout out my name from far away.
"HARUTO!"
My eyes slowly followed the view as I turned around. I see her shining brightly and her smile is as radiant as the first time I saw her. The process of breaking out of this cycle is getting harder. I can't stop falling in love with her.
"I appreciate you staying by my side until now!"
My smile made her smile larger without me even noticing it.
From the very beginning, I knew I would not regret liking her as a girl.
I hope our relationship grows stronger and lasts for a long time.
