HARUTO POV

On the way, I could not resist following them.

I was really worried about her.

However, I cannot let myself be off guard whenever Jeongwoo is around with her. This raises my fear that he will betray me and take her away.

I saw Jeongwoo carry her to the restroom while watching her tenderly as she slept on his shoulder. Jealousy filled my heart. I stayed until the end. They were even talking to each other unlike before. She could let her tears flow in front of him.

I decided to sneak a peek secretly out of curiosity.

"Because I've never done anything to protect them, I hate myself for that. All I've done is cause them trouble. I want to be independent, but I'm afraid to face my past."

Tears welled up in her eyes. He turns her aside, looking at her with such love. A sigh escapes his lips as he strokes her cheeks as Y/N stares at him intently.

"You are not alone. Let it go while you can. You deserve all the love you are receiving."

"Can I really find the happiness I'm looking for? All these things happening are never-ending, and they're already taking tolls on me."

As her tears finally flowed, she smiled at Jeongwoo and I saw him pulling her neck closer.

"This will be too sudden."

"What?"

Attempting to kiss her, he leans closer to her, causing me to gasp sadly, and I stop myself from looking further. Angrily, I left them together and went back to the practice, clenching my fists. At this point, I was unaware that they had been interrupted.

Jeongwoo likes her..?

As a result, we experienced tension during practice, and we didn't even communicate with each other, causing the members to worry about us.

As I walked out of the building after we were dismissed to enjoy our vacation, there was gossip going on outside. Y/N stood next to Jeongwoo and seemed to enjoy interacting with him.

It never crossed my mind that I would feel so left out and jealous of Jeongwoo.

Sighing was all I could manage after seeing them together.

That didn't stop me, though.

After making the decision to follow them, Jihoon grabbed my arm and asked, "Where do you intend to go?"

"H-Hyung..."

"Do you plan to follow Y/N and her family as well?"

"N-No...Jeongwoo-"

"Haruto-ah, you're not allowed to follow them. Don't interfere with their fun, alright? I know you're anxious about him, but why don't you hold back until they're back?"

"I don't think I can contain myself any longer..."

"I'm not sure if I can trust Jeongwoo because I had my eyes on her first... How can he be the one standing beside her?"

Jihoon sighed and patted his head lovingly, "I understand how you feel. But don't give up because you will find the right person out there. So don't lose heart."

Then I faked a smile and went along with him to hang out with the members.

It's unlikely that I will ever meet someone like y/n.

Jeongwoo POV

We arrived at our destination and this was the first time I'd seen such a beautiful lake. It seems like our CEO really knows how to choose a place where his family can spend time together.

Then I glanced on my side and saw that y/n was awestruck by the beauty of the landscape, causing me to smile secretly.

I then brought myself back to reality and asked away, "Do you want to go canoeing after we unpack our bags?"

Y/N nodded and said, "Yes, I'd love to!"

"What a quick response you gave me."

In response, she laughed, "You can tell I'm very excited, can't you?"

"I can definitely see it, so don't take too long. It will get darker than you will ever realize."

Y/N stuck her tongue out playfully, "I know~"

I couldn't stop smiling at her adorableness as she hummed a song brightly as she made her way inside the house with Sukhee. Meanwhile, my brother looked at me strangely and said, "Why are you smiling so much?"

"What? Can I not smile today?"

"I've never seen you smile like that when it comes to a girl."

"Don't assume me falsely, hyung. I was just laughing at her cuteness, that's all."

"If a friend of yours was a girl and acting cute, you would act differently."

"You shouldn't make it sound like that."

Despite his sarcastic remarks, he left me dumbfounded in the playground, which had me shaking my head at him. Suddenly, Haruto appeared in my head, halting my movements.

Right, I've forgotten that he likes y/n.

"What should I do?"

After a ringtone suddenly sounded, I jolted unexpectedly and grabbed my phone, making me furrow my brows after reading the caller ID.

"What is it? It's not like you to call me at this time of the day."

A smile disappeared on my face as soon as he talked.

"I don't understand what you're talking about. It's nothing like that."

I gulped nervously and turned around to find y/n walking towards me excitedly.

"It is not worth it for me to betray you, because you had your eyes on her first."

As the nerves got the better of me, I scratched the back of my neck, not wanting to tell further lies, "Hyung, I really don't have feelings towards her. Don't worry."

Y/N then waved at me joyfully, causing my heart to beat faster and faster.

"Are you being honest with me?"

"Ah, really? What's wrong with you? Can't you believe me?"

"Our friendship is over if you tell me more lies."

My words were about to escape me, but I could not. In an attempt to avoid him noticing that I was lying, I tried to think of something.

In a serious tone, I said, "I don't like her, so don't worry. I have to help my family now so I'll see you soon."

As soon as she arrived, I immediately hung up, saying "Let's go!"

When I saw her smile growing wider, my heart broke into a million pieces. The fact that she keeps giving me so many feelings makes it impossible for me not to like her. Her smile always changes mine.

I really do like her.
