I felt the small pang of as string being pulled as I was summoned by my master. I squeezed my eyes shut as I fought the urge to rush to my master’s side.
Hoheo taralna, rondero tarel. It was my curse and tie to my master.
I sighed and tried to once again turn my attention back to the ball. The dancing figures of people.
It was then that the dance stopped and Hannah came in with the demon interment. She licked her fingers before sitting down to the spinning glass bowls.
She put her fingers to the glass and began to play a beautifully haunting melody.
I watched from the side as people began clutching their heads in pain. I crossed my arms and sat back.
So this was the ‘entertainment’ my master had planned.
After a while a few of the guests stopped holding their heads. They were in some sort of a trance and began walking towards those who were unaffected.
Agni, Soma, Lau, and Ranmou.
I smiled as Agni began to fight with inhuman strength. He even helped the Phantomhive servants regain their senses.
I watched carefully from the side as they tried to fight off the other guests.
They did very well until Soma got cornered. I sighed and went over to Soma calmly.
They were absolutely making a mess off the hall. I was meant to be watching the manor and I suppose I should keep it clean.
“Butterfly?” Soma asked surprised.
I ignored him and began punching the guests, unconscious. When they all lay in front of me I sighed and crossed my arms.
“You’ve all made a mess of the Earl’s hall. He won’t be happy.”
Soma rushed over to me, “What are you talking about? Why aren’t you like them?”
I looked over to Hannah before turning my gaze back to him, “I don’t know what you mean.”
The guests all returned to their normal state as the tune of the song changed.
I looked up at Sebastian who was carefully playing water glasses above the hall.
Hannah’s instrument shattered and I rushed over to her.
“Hannah!”
Everyone applauded as Sebastian finished the song and I knelt down next to Hannah. Her hands were cut and small shards of glass were stuck in them.
I sighed and took one of her hands in mine. “Oh, Hannah.”
I looked to the side sharply as Sebastian leaned down to whisper to her.
“The performance would have not been the same without your help. I’m grateful, my lady.”
I glared at him and he looked up at me with wide eyes.
“Come Hannah, we need to get you cleaned up before the master arrives.”
Hannah stood and shook my off. “I’ll be fine. You stay here and watch over him.”
I nodded, “Of course.”
