Chapter Eleven
Ronan's Pov - 19 Years Old
I groaned as the multicolored lights hit my eyes directly causing them to burn while I grumbled in annoyance and took another sip of beer.
These parties were getting old. Nothing mattered anymore. Everything was always the same thing on repeat.
Cassie apologized for accidentally hitting the wrong switch as we all settled in the VIP room away from the lounge and main floor.
She sat down after a while and started asking everyone questions.
Classic Cassie.
"AT if you could hook up with anyone here, who would it be?"
Cassandra's eyes were lit up with curiosity as she awaited my answer.
Katrina scoffed from beside me as Lucas looked bored with the whole situation and chugged down some rum.
We were currently sitting in the VIP section of a club which was owned by Alexander and the four of us were tipsy — headed towards drunk currently.
"Why do you always ask me this kinda crap Cass?" I rubbed my temple and looked at her irritatedly.
"Yeah Cassie, w-we don't really wanna know. . ." Katrina quietly said while slightly slurring in a tone which meant she would end up passing out soon.
Scratch that, the three of us were headed towards drunk, Katrina had reached that phase a long time ago and it was a little concerning as she rarely ever got fully drunk. Did she really drink that much?
She seemed weirder than usual today too.
Cassie's eyes glinted with annoyance and she became silent as though there was something running through her mind.
"What's the worst thing you guys have gone through or done?" She whispered softly, though her voice ended up resonating through the quiet room eerily as we all took in her words with a heavy feeling.
Lucas looked troubled by the question as I saw him glare at Cassie before he pinched his eyes closed with his fingers and ran his palm over his face in vexation.
We were all way too wasted for this and if we ended up saying something that we'd regret later, it could get quite emotional and catastrophic.
The drama would be unbearable. Atleast to me. I didn't want to deal with any of it.
We all grew up together but who truly trusted another being with their soul?
I couldn't be sober anymore. Fúck any kind of conversation. I was out of here.
I was about to get up and tell them to get their àsses downstairs to rejoin the party when I was stopped in my tracks by a broken voice.
"It made me really sick."
She got up to sit next to Katrina as her head stayed lowered.
She continued speaking with a blank look in her eyes, monotonously.
"I was thirteen and I didn't fully understand what was happening. Yes, I wasn't a child but I trusted him so I didn't expect it."
Her voice wavered as she spoke, looking towards Katrina.
"I was overcome with that feeling when you're helpless and there's nothing that I could've done. He used to talk to me. I thought he was being nice but he just —" her voice broke before she resumed speaking.
"He just wanted to touch me and ruin me like everyone else."
What the heck? Was she —
