I opened my eyes and saw Lily sleeping peacefully next to me. I guess you could say things got pretty heated after our date, yet I couldn't stop thinking about a little brunette and... I sighed. I knew I'd never be able to pursue that. She's in a happy relationship and I was man enough to accept that. Plus, I have a girlfriend, now! I scolded myself. I looked over at the clock, shooting out of bed when I saw that it was already 11am.

I got out of bed and got changed into some flip flops, shorts and a grey long sleeve t-shirt. I walked into my bathroom and ran a hand through my already messed up curls attempting to make them look a little more presentable, subconsciously knowing that I was trying to impress the one girl I knew I could never have. I closed my eyes and thought about how the only girl I should be trying to impress is currently laying in my bed.

I walked downstairs into the kitchen and made a pot of coffee, getting lost in my thoughts. Lily walked into the kitchen ten minutes later and wrapped her arms around me, placing a soft kiss on my lips. I had fun last night..." she said into my ear, I chuckled, smiled, then pulled away. "Me too, but I've gotta head out or else I'll be late for my lesson with Nini." I said placing my mug in the sink. "Oh alright, I'll see you for lunch at work! Oh also... my parent's are coming into town. I want you to meet them!" She said, happily, making me choke. "What?!" I exclaimed, turning around to face her. "Oh, calm down you big baby. I have to pick them up from the airport tonight, but they told me they want to treat us to lunch after your competition tomorrow!" She said. I grabbed my keys and shook my head, furrowing my eyebrows "wait you already told them about us?" I asked pointing between her and myself.

"Of course, silly!" Lily giggled, pecking me on the lips. "Okay then... Well, I've gotta run but I'll see you later. Make sure you lock the door behind you on your way out!" I called out as I shut the front door. I sighed... great now I'm going to have to meet the parents. No pressure!

I looked up at the sky, it was grey and it was lightly raining. I was hoping I could walk to down to the cafe since that always helped me clear my head, but decided to drive since it looked like the sky was only getting darker. I was singing along to a "dirty heads" song when my car randomly started making a weird noise. Oh no. "No! No! Come on!" I said, desperately, just as my car came to a hault. Well that's just great! I was stuck at the bottom of a hill, in the pouring rain. Super. I sighed and pulled out my phone, rolling my eyes when I saw it had a dead battery. With a groan, I hopped out into the cool rain and walked to the back of my car. "Stupid car" I mumbled as I began to push my civic into town. Cars passed me and people would look at me with sympathy, yet not a single one of them got out and tried to help me. Not that I expected anything less, really.

By the time I made it to the parking lot, I was sore and breathing heavily. The pouring rain had stopped and the clouds were slowly parting, still having a dark glow on the ocean, but at least I could still give Nini her lesson.

"Achoo!" I sniffled. Well fuck. That's exactly what I need! I thought.

The door to the cafe chimed as I walked in and glanced around noticing that the restaurant wasn't very busy. That wasn't unusual, though and I knew it would get busy again as soon as it was noon. "I'm coming!" I heard my mom call. I sneezed again and rubbed my nose. "Hello there,  welcome to-boh goodness, Richard Michael!" My mom exclaimed running over to me with a towel in her hand as she began to dry off my face. "Mom I'm not a little kid! I can dry my own face you know?" I said, chuckling. My mom just laughed but continued drying me off anyways.

She finished a second later and I began to ask her where Nini was when she walked out of the bathroom. Her hair was in a loose pony tail, she had a loose long sleeve shirt on along with a pair of jean shorts. I watched as her eyes slowly went down my body, I was confused for a second and then I looked down. Oh.
