"What do you mean 'I didn't kill your kids.'? I saw you with the knife! With their blood on you! You almost killed me." Henry said, watching William swing his legs back and forth as he sat on the counter. William sighed, like he was getting ready to tell a long story and was mentally preparing himself. William looked up and made eye contact with Henry, who suddenly tensed. He tensed up for two reasons. The main one was all the scars that he noticed littered William's facial features. Two scars on his right eye, one on his left; a scar holding part of his mouth down in a permanent frown, a streak of four scars across his right cheek.

The second reason was that when William looked at him, he wanted to throw himself at William. Not to hurt him, but to hug him. To make sure he was really there. Henry noticed that as soon as he tensed, so did William. It was probably just because William had problems with being self-conscious, but when Henry noticed it he couldn't help but wonder if it was for the same reason as his tensing.

"Remember how I got that VR headset for Michael? And how I bought that video game based off of our pizzeria? 'Five Nights at Freddy's VR, Help Wanted'" Henry nodded. He had helped William pay for the gift because William hadn't had the money at the time. "That game is cursed. There was something in it. That something got out and messed with my head." Henry closed his eyes and shook his head. William and his excuses. William had made up lies to get out of small little things like mopping the floors before, but never to get away with murder.

"Henry, I'm not lying. Please trust me. There was a yellow rabbit in that game. He was a glitch. Every time I saw him, he would be glitching in and out of view, waving at me."
"I was the one to beat the game. Michael was too busy working and I'd been enjoying playing it every once and a while. When I found all the tapes and did what they said, that thing got released." Henry listened to William, wondering whether to believe his ex-best friend.
"It went into my head and told me things. It said I could have Chris back... it said I could have Liz back!" He smiled a watery smile, starting to tear up. Henry was looking at him, sorrowful, with his eyes wide.
"I gave into it. It said all it wanted was to see the world and to talk to people. I told it that it could use me, just to get my children back. It lied."
"It committed the Fazbear murders. It is the Fazbear killer. The hypnotic look of its purple eyes made it harder to break free. When... when you said you were going to hurt yourself, it gave me enough strength to speak. When you did hurt yourself, it gave me enough strength to break out of the trance and call the ambulance." Henry felt silent tears roll down his cheeks. William was crying not so silently, his head in his hands.

"William... I- William, how have you not been arrested?!" Henry said, confused. William shook his head. "They can't arrest what's dead." Henry gasped. He was talking to William's ghost then? He walked quickly up to the counter where William was sitting even though he'd spent the whole time he was with William at a distance. Henry touched William's face and his hair. His hair was still soft, even though the rest of him was rugged. "You're solid... how're you a ghost?" William was ever so slightly blushing. "Well... I'm dead, but not really dead. It's hard to explain."

William launched into another story about his death and how he used an illusion disk to stay human when he wanted to. The graphic description of his death made William have to spend five minutes of his time comforting Henry, who had started crying. "You've always been a softie, Hen." He chuckled. Henry sniffed in response, feeling comforted by the touch of William, who was rubbing Henry's back in small circular motions. "After everything that happened that night- the night you got that scar- I assumed that when you saw.. your kids.. that you'd be on your knees, screaming. You surprised me though. You were strong and you tried to fight back. It made me proud." William smiled encouragingly.

Henry sighed. "I had to be strong. It's what they would have wanted." Henry's mind flashed to something William had said earlier. "You were the one that called the ambulance?" William nodded. "I assume you thought I had left you to die." Henry nodded back at him. William sighed. "I have so much making up for to do.." Henry laughed a little.

"Well... do you forgive me, Henry?" Henry's laugh was cut short. He looked down at the ground and felt William's gaze burning into the back of his skull. "I know it wasn't your fault... it's just hard to know that you still had their blood on your body.... Just give me some more time.." He heard William sigh. "You're feelings are valid." William gave his back a pat and stopped rubbing.

"Thanks, Willy."
