Chapter 12

I'm at a cafe near the sm town's company where Johnny and I agreed to meet.

Johnny called me last night asking for forgiveness, but of course I didn't accept it.

That's a bit too much to forgive. He doesn't even think before saying something. All he cared about is that goddamn business that he and my dad made.

I am their toy but I won't let them play me. I'm human too.

I picked a spot where I can see all the cars and people who is passing by this street.

An old man sitting around the bench while reading a newspaper, people running as if they are late for office work, dogs peeing at the side walk, cars making loud noises.

Hayst, life outside my world is so different from the world I'm living in right now.

Everyone seem busy, they all have goals and dreams in life.. while me? I am just a purpose, someone else's purpose.

I sipped a little bit of drink from the latte I ordered. It's a bit cold to drink not perfect for the weather we have right now.

"Glacier..." my eyes went to Johnny who just came and sat to the unoccupied chair in front of me.

He seems different today.

I don't know what it is but his aura today is very different from the Johnny I've been seeing before.

Johnny akwardly smiled at me first and asked if I want something but I didn't respond so he just called the waiter and ordered some iced americano.

The silence is so loud that I can really feel the akwardness in us.

"Uhm so.. Glacier.. about that night" he started

"If you're asking for forgiveness, I don't know what to say Johnny. Besides, you already told dad about that unexpected plan of yours about the wedding so there's nothing we can do."

I didn't look at his eyes and just focused my attention outside the windows.

Because maybe.. just maybe it will help my mind find some peacefulness.

"Still I wanted to say sorry again, I'm so sorry.. it's just that I'm not at the right mind that night.." he paused.

His tone is very.. unusual

He seems so down right now like any moment from now he'll burst into tears.

I waited for him to continue talking but he didn't. He just bowed his head and let the silence fill our conversation.

I wanted to ask him but suddenly he looked at me and smiled.

The smile he just gave.. I felt the sadness in it for no reason.

"Do you want to go outside for some fresh air?" Johnny shyly asked.

I don't know why but I just nodded at his favor. It's like something has been bothering his mind and I thought that giving him some company will help him a little.

We got out of the coffee shop and had a walk while sipping our coffees.

I left my car at the apartment and took a taxi to come here, I don't know about Johnny but it looks like he didn't bring a car too.

Suddenly I felt a warm hand attempting to hold my small hand.

I looked at Johnny beside me who's just enjoying his iced americano. Then I looked at our intertwined hands. It is the first time he did something romantic to me so..

I was surprised by his actions.

He noticed that I was looking at our hands being close together so he distracted me by suddenly asking a more unusual question.
