Chapter 19

I am feeling the cold breeze passing by my face as we make our way to the place that Jaehyun has been telling me yesterday, to his grandparent's house. We've been traveling for about 30 mins now as he picked me up at past 6am earlier in the morning. It's freaking snowing outside and the temperature is too low for us to handle this but I guess he's too determined to go there. Besides, he haven't visited there for almost a year now since he was so busy with his idol life.

"You can still sleep if you want" Jaehyun said while focusing his eyes on the wet road. I hate driving when it's snowy, it makes it hard and dangerous for me to drive because it is slippery.

"Nah I'm fully awake" I answered while sipping the hot coffee latte we ordered earlier at Starbucks. We made a quick stop by some stores to buy some souvenirs and gifts.

I can really tell how much he miss being home. Being with his family even just for a day would be wholesome for him. How I wish I'd feel that kind of happiness too.

"The snow is snowing

Wind is blowing

But I can weather the storm

Why do I care how much it may storm?

A worse December

"I've got my love to keep me warm~~" we both sang

We both giggled at that moment. Just listening to Billie Holiday's songs on a radio while driving on a snowy day is perfect. 90's songs hits different for real though, it's a vibe to my ears.

*ring~~ring~~*

"You should answer your phone Jae, it might be urgent" I said while looking through my window's view. The grounds are filled with snow, not even a grass to see.

"What is it?" Jaehyun said as he answered the phone call

"Not now, I'm busy"

I wonder who could that person be that makes Jaehyun's face looked annoyed. I've never seen him this way before, he looks scary when he's mad like this.

"I got it, I'll go there soon" he said before ending the call.

"Who was that?" I asked knowingly that it is not the right time to ask because of his mood but I'm still curious though so I just decided to take the risk and ask him directly.

Then he turned his gaze towards me and I can see that his facial expression changed really fast.

"It's no one, just some friend of mine" he said while smiling at me

I didn't bother to ask some question anymore because it's not my business too and besides, I put all of my trust in this man. So I just nodded in response and continued doing my thing which is eating.

The travel took too long before we arrived at our destination. I didn't notice that I fell asleep while eating and I just woke up because of Jaehyun's voice.

"How long did I sleep?" I asked him while stretching out myself and giving it some yawning.

"Maybe for about 2 hours?" he replied

For 2 hours? Wow, so we have been traveling for about 3 hours now? I took a glance at him who is still driving the car slowly. He must be tired of driving it all alone, I should have asked him to take some switch with me and let me drive it for atleast an hour or so.
