Adelaine frantically looked around for a way out. Everyone, even the teachers were panicking. Adelaine weaved through the crowds of screeching students and teachers pulling at every door and window trying to get out.
She started pulling at the last door in hopes it would give. Just as she was about to give up, someone grabbed her arm. She dismissed it thinking it was just Matthew but she realized she had been holding on to him this whole time. And he has never grabbed her like that before.
Matthew noticed this unfamiliar hand on her arm and looked puzzled. Then he noticed the look of panic on Adelaines face. He quickly decided to act on this and attempt to wrestle the hand off of Adelaine. It wasn't a very good attempt. It was kind of expected though. The boy was thin and kind of lanky so it wasn't like he had a whole lot of muscle. All while he did this he never let go of Adelaines hand.
The unknown person didn't even seem fazed by this failed attempt to remove his arm. They just dragged the two off into an empty corner. ¨Look kid would you let go of your friend here and leave because I need to take her and go.¨ Matthew just shook his head, not letting go. The man sighed and used whatever weird magic he had and took the two and disappeared.
All of this happened while Bex just stood and watched. After they disappeared the doors unlocked and the lights came back on. Bex just stood there in the middle of the room staring at where her friends once were. ¨What the..¨ She muttered confused.

Adelaine and Matthew's eyes grew as they just appeared with the strange man in the middle of a bustling city. The city was full of people. Beautiful people. But odd people. Everyone was different, no one shared hair color or eye color there. Everyone was completely unique. It was mesmerizing and horrific at the same time.
Just at that moment the strange man grabbed their arms and threw them into a carriage following them in. ¨I don't want to hear a single word from either of you unless you are told to speak.¨ The man said aggressively
¨Oh well, that's awfully rude, what if we play a game while we wait until we get there.¨ Adelaine said this obviously a little shaken but trying to lift some of the tension in hopes of getting answers. In turn, she got a glare from the man. ¨What? Just trying to lift some of this tension.¨
After that, they sat in silence for a good hour. All of a sudden the carriage abruptly stopped. The man grunted and got up out of the carriage to see what happened. What he didn't realize was he didn't lock the door behind himself.
Matthew and Adelaine took that opportunity to climb out unnoticed. Except they were noticed. They really aren't the most skillful at escaping unnoticed.
The two ran weaving through crowds trying to make an escape. All while the man was chasing them. The city was huge so they had to run for a long time. Good thing adrenaline is always helpful. They eventually ran into the woods losing the man behind them.
~~~~~
The man chased after the two teens for like an hour until he couldn't possibly see them anymore. He knew that he wouldn't be able to go back to the castle without the girl. His fate would not be desirable. It would be even less desirable if he didn't go back at all so he gave up and went back to the carriage.
When he got back to the carriage it was repaired and ready to get moving so he got in and closed the door. It felt like the ride was forever when he finally arrived. The man stepped out of the carriage bracing himself for what might come next.
To anyone who hasn't seen Rylan you would think he was completely calm at that moment. He was stone-faced and took a deep breath not even acknowledging the man. Then he waved his hand.
The man didn't see anything after that, only a glimpse of the ceiling. He was dragged out not knowing where he was going. That was the last thing he remembered before he was locked up.
