Forgotten Memories

Chapter 12

There was information given to them regarding Bruce.   Now, Percy could not tell his aunt, but had to somehow give the information to Thor to handle the problem.  Why didn't Hermès deal with it, well they weren't supposed to interfere which didn't make sense.  But there was no use in trying to talk some sense into them.  They had the idea that this was how it was supposed to go down. 

Leo, Percy, and Piper all handled into sneaking into the Avenger's Tower.  Leo worked on mechanics by hacking Friday.  Piper charm spoke to people whenever they were to approach, and Percy was the distraction.  

Soon without a hitch they all worked in synchronized formation in pursuit of the door to the elevator.  Usually Percy would avoid it like the plague, but this was a mission and he needed to make another sacrifice.   He didn't want his mom to be in jeopardy from another person.

They stopped at the avenger's floor.  It looked like no one way on the couches.   They looked like they had redecorated since the last time he had been here.  

He wondered what Annabeth would say about the redecoration.   He missed Annabeth.  She said she wanted to stay at camp to come up with a couple of strategies regarding the information that has just been dumped in camp.

"Percy," Piper whispered.  Piper hit him on his arm. 

"Percy snap out of it man," Leo said.  

Percy smiled sheepishly at them.  His ADHD sometimes got the best of him.  He refocused on the room.  Leo was manipulating something on one of his gadgets.  

"Thor and Loki are on the second to last bedroom down that hall."   Leo pointed.

Leo pointed to the wrist watch.  "It looks like Natasha and Tony are getting on the elevator.  Percy you stay and stall them.   I will go work on the pranks, and Piper will hand them the information."

They all nodded before getting to work. Leo put in a sensor so when they opened the fridge the person opening will get sprayed in the face. Then he placed a couple of colorful stink bombs in places that people will trigger it. He then rewired Friday to say different names.

Piper walked back a second later. "Your back..."

The elevator door opened. Natasha and Tony looked over at Percy. "How did you get in here," Tony asked.

Natasha was studying Piper who was beside him. "Who is she?"

"Are you cheating on your girlfriend," Tony asked shocked.

Piper made a disgusted face. "Gross no," Piper said.

"I would never cheat," Percy said.

"Percy is loyal. He would never betray those he cared about," Piper said.

"How did you get in? The tower is like a fortress."

"Obviously not," Piper said. "If we were able to get in so easily."

"Friday, play footage of them breaking in," Tony said.

"I am sorry, but I cannot play it. Leo McShizzle has erased it. Would you like to make another request, Tin Man."

Tony's eyes widened.   He turned to Percy.   "What did you do?"

"I didn't change your name," Percy said.   An innocent smile crept onto his face. 

"You didn't change his name, but you did something," Natasha said.  A smile seemed to creep up her face.   She must have realized they were there for pranks and nothing more. 

"Have fun figuring it out.   I think I am going to head out.   You know get some fresh air.   Enjoy the sun.   You know it seems like a really nice day out.   You should enjoy the sun more," Percy said.  

"How did you go to threatening to lecturing?"

Percy shrugged.

"Your not going to say goodbye to your aunt?"

Percy looked at Natasha and shuddered.  That look reminded him too much of his girlfriend about to pounce on him. 

"Awe that hurts my feelings."

"I am done placing the stink bombs..." Leo said walking back in the room.  He stopped talking when he noticed them in the room.

This was part of the plan. Let them be discovered that way it covers up the actual reason why they were here. To give information to Thor, so he could deal with the matter himself.

"You little terrors," Tony said.

"At least we know where the hacking came from," Natasha said.

Natasha was eyeing Leo. Probably sizing him up and trying to find out what he did.

"Yeah well have fun with the smoke bombs auntie."

"Awe, why are you leaving so soon. Why don't you sit down and we can a chat."

Percy made a face. "See when you say that auntie it makes me want to run and hide and in a hole."

Natasha grinned. Percy shuddered.

"Well I guess we are out," Leo said.

He grabbed something from him tool belt. Suddenly smoke went everywhere from a device Leo kept. "Run," Leo mouthed.

The three musketeers all ran towards the window and jumped out. Percy whistled and Blackjack was there. "Hey boss."

Leo landed on Fetus him mechanical bull. Piper had another Pegasus. They all headed back to camp with grins that they accomplished something.

Meanwhile back at the tower they were still trying to find an off button to the canister that administer the smoke.

Tony was getting sprayed by smoke while trying to shut it off. He coughed a little as it got into his lungs.

"Turn it off," Natasha said.

"Can't you see...I am trying," Tony said. He had to take breaks in between because of his cough. Finally the smoke stopped on its own.

Tony looked over at Natasha. "Why didn't you try to stop them?"

"I did try to stop them. When I tried to walk past the smoke I couldn't see where they went. I only saw a shadow of a person waking towards the window where the balcony is, but they would not jump...I mean they couldn't have...."

"This is the first time I have seen you struggling for words."

Natasha glared at Tony.

Tony put his arms out.  "Hey don't shoot the messenger."

"My nephew has a lot of explaining to do."

"Too bad we can't find him whenever he disappears."

"And that another thing we need to talk about."  A voice said coming out of the shadows of the room.  A man with a black cloak and eyepatch came out. He had a serious look on his face.
