(This chapter will be the meanwhile of the last chapter, but this time it'll be all Gonca's P.O.V)
Gonca hatun P.O.V
I tie Boran's wrist armor in neat, even loops. "I don't know how you make them look so perfect," Boran says in amazement after watching me tie the knots. "The way you used to tie your armor drove me crazy," I say with a smile as I move to tie the other wrist, and Boran chuckles. Boran's cuffs were always tied in uneven loops. "I gave up on learning how to tie them right, and would refuse to ask for help." (Honestly that sounds like me)
"So you would rather have super uneven loops than to ask for help?" I ask and Boran nods, "Yup, but I don't have to ask now because you just do it for me." I finish tying the knot and reach up, setting my hand on his cheek. "I'll always tie your armor for you, Boran'm," Boran laughs, bringing his hand up against mine and pressing a kiss into my palm. "What would I do with you, Gonca'm?"
A little later, at Sogut everything has been prepared for the families coming from Germiyan lands. Gunduz Bey and Sheikh Edebali went to go meet them and bring them to the soup kitchen. Bala and I set everything up, making sure there would be enough food for everyone. As we began serving the people, a group of kids comes up to us.
"You are Gonca hatun, right?" A little girl asks me, and I nod, "That's me." The little girl smiles joyfully as the other kids whisper amongst themselves. "I want to be a fighter just like you, Bala hatun, and Aygul hatun!"
'Wait, how do they know all our names?' I think as I look at Bala who seems to be equally confused. "We heard stories about you," A small boy with curly hair says. Another slightly older boy pipes up, "I want to be like Boran alp, he's really cool!" "I think Goktug alp is cooler!"
I watch the group playfully bicker over who's cooler. "I think Boran alp is really cool too," I say with a smile and Bala rolls her eyes playfully. The kids stop talking and look at me, "You know Boran alp?" I chuckle and nod, "I've talked to him a couple of times, considering I'm married to him."
The kids go back to excitedly whispering, "Are they here right now?" The boy with curly hair asks and I shake my head, "They're on duty with Osman Bey right now." "Really?" I nod, "Now, I want you all to go and eat your food, then you can meet them when they come back." The kids disperse, running back to their mothers and sitting down.
"It's crazy how they know us, right?" Bala asks as I go back to serving the people next to her. "I knew people talk about Osman Bey, but I never knew they talk about us too." Bala nods, "Our cause is spreading faster than ever."
"Gonca, do you think the cloth we ordered has arrived?" I think for a moment, "I'll go check, I'll be back soon." I walk to the cloth merchant and make small conversation as I check the cloth. "These are perfect, Bala hatun, and I will come to pick them up later today." I tell the merchant and he nods, "Tamaam, Have a good day, Gonca hatun." (Help, I don't know what to do with Zoyeee.)
I get back to the Soup Kitchen and we finish serving all the people. Soon, the kids run around and take their wooden swords out of their bags. One boy jumps up, waving a wooden sword in the air, "Ya hürriyet, Ya shahadat!" He says with an incredibly serious face and Bala laughs, "That sounds just like Osman."
Later that day, Boran comes back from his duty with Osman Bey in Konya and we sit together in our tent. Boran intently pulls on the strings of his cuffs while I run my fingers through his soft brown locks. "Gonca?" "Hmm?" "People from Turhan alp's tribe came to Sogut today, didn't they?" I nod, "They did, and you are pretty famous amongst the children, Boran." Boran's nose scrunches up in the cute way it does when he's confused.
"I am?" "Yep, we all are apparently. A couple of kids asked me if I know you." Boran chuckles, "Do we know each other?" He asks, pretending to think as I go back to running my fingers through his hair. "Nope."
"Well, that's a shame. My name is Boran and I'm a general pain in the behind." I burst into laughter, "Seriously? That's how you're going to introduce yourself?" Boran laughs, "Is that better than milking a goat?" I shake my head, "The goat thing was funny though."
"Sure it was, but that's probably the most embarrassing thing I've ever done. It worked out in the end though, didn't it?" Boran asks, kissing my temple as I lean against him. "That it did." We sit in comfortable silence when Boran speaks again, "Remember when I had short hair?" I nod, "You looked quite different back then."
I think for a moment, bringing up an image of that time in my mind, "You looked younger, cute." Boran chuckles, "Did I? I always tried to look cool." I smile, "Even when you were fighting, you looked like an angry kitten to me." Boran scoffs, "An angry kitten?" "Yep."
A/N: Hello Hello, I hope you enjoyed this nice fluffy chapter. This took a while to write because it's raining and I kept getting distracted. The rain was almost going sideways and it was pretty cool. I like rain, but when there is really loud thunder or hail, I don't like it. Thoughts on rain?
Anyway, Salaam, and have a great day!
