(A/N: This chap shall be in the third person, I'd like to thank @ZahraHussain202
For the idea of this chapter.)Orhan and Melike: 7 years old
Aylah: 6 years old
Kayi: 8 years oldAylah and Orhan were walking around the tribe when Melike ran right into them, "Ow, what the heck, Melike?!" The dark-eyed boy shouted, stumbling back, "I have no time to explain, just go to the training field. I'll go find Kayi."
Orhan and Aylah shrugged as Melike took off to find the older boy. "I guess we're going to the training field."
Melike found Kayi outside his family's tent, standing with his mother. "Kayi!" Melike shouted, and Kayi turned around, light blue eyes shining in the morning's light. "I have to show you something, no time to explain, just come on."
Kayi just blinked at the girl, before glancing at his mother, then he shrugs, following Melike to the training field.
Orhan and Aylah were already sitting on the grass, behind two large trees in the field. "Okay, what is so important that you almost knocked me to the ground?" Orhan asks, throwing his hands out, dramatically. Melike looks at them all before setting multiple daggers on the ground.
In the Marquee, Osman Bey was fully ready for the day, but one thing was missing. "Where is my dagger?" The bey asking himself, looking around the room for what seemed like the tenth time.
In his own tent, Boran alp, looked around exasperated, "Where did I put my dagger? Did Aylah take my dagger, Gonca?" He asks his wife, "I don't think she did." Boran sighs and grabs his spare dagger.
"Hey, that's my dad's dagger!"
Aylah points out, sitting on her knees, and Melike nods. "Okay, how did you get everyone's daggers?" Kayi asks, spotting everyone's daggers except for his mother's. "Well, when our uncles were on the training field, sparing each other, I switched out all their daggers."
Orhan snorts, "Right, so what do we do now?" Melike looks at her twin blankly for a moment, "Well, my plan only went as far as taking all the daggers. I didn't expect to get this far."
Kayi facepalms, "Do you think they've noticed yet?" Melike nods, "Yeah, probably, Goktug Emmi probably doesn't even care about his missing dagger at this point." "How about we just hide them, and see how long we can pull it off?" Aylah suggests and the group exchanges a glance, "Let's do it."
They end up hiding the daggers in a hole at the base of the tree, covering it up with a large rock. "We're geniuses," Orhan exclaims and Aylah reaches over, hitting him in the back of the head, "It was my idea, you moron."
Melike peeks around the tree to where the front of the tribe is, "I think Baba was supposed to go to Sogut today. Now, that the daggers are hidden we need to make sure they don't find out where they are."
The four get up, running back to the front of the tribe where Osman Bey and his alps were about to leave. "What kind of Bey walks around without a dagger?" Osman asks, and Goktug shrugs, "You, apparently."
Osman just rolls his eyes, "Just use a spare dagger, that's what I did." Boran points out, walking to his horse. "Why are we all missing our daggers?" Gunduz asks, usually even if their daggers did randomly go 'missing' it would only happen to one of them. Goktug smirks, "I have one word for you. Melike."
Osman raises an eyebrow, "You think Melike took all of our daggers without us noticing? Are we that dumb?" "Yes, you are," Gunduz deadpans, and Osman waves him off. "Who else would've done it? I don't even know how Melike does it, one second it's there and the next it's gone."
Then, Melik, Orhan, Aylah, and Kayi run into the clearing, "Hey, Baba, where are you going?" Melike chirped, an innocent smile upon her and Osman narrows his eyes slightly. "Sogut," Melike glances at the empty loop on her father's belt, that is used for his dagger. "Where did your dagger go, Baba?"
"Gee, I really do wonder," Goktug mumbles as he turns around, but Melike only smiles sweetly at him. "I don't know, Melike, you tell me," "Why would I know where your dagger is, Baba?" Melike wore a challenging look on her face, much similar to her father's.
Osman then turned to his son, knowing he couldn't get Melike to crack easily. "Orhan, where did you guys put our daggers?" Orhan crosses his arms, "Some secrets must remain guarded, Bey'm." He says in a solemn tone, making Boran blow out a breath, "Okay, now he's talking like Kumrul Abdul."
Osman snorts at that before turning to Kayi, "Kayi, my dear nephew, where did you guys put our daggers?" Kayi crosses his arms, smirking slightly, "Sorry, Emmi, I have loyalties."
Osman sighs and turns to the final, youngest child, "Aylah, where did you guys put our daggers? Can you tell me, please?" Aylah looks around at her friends, before looking Osman in the eye, "Didn't you tell us yesterday that betrayal is unforgivable?
Goktug, Boran, and Gunduz burst into laughter, leaving the Bey to gape at the child, who only smiled at him. "That, my girl, was amazing," Boran says proudly, getting his laughter under control. Osman pinches the bridge of his nose, chuckling, "That's not what I meant, Aylah."
Osman then tried to change his tactics, "Abi, when are the Vatican merchants coming?" "Noon," Gunduz replied and Osman glanced at the sun, "Okay, we have some time, why don't we go to the training field for a bit?" The kids look at each other, and Osman quickly caught on.
"The daggers are on the training field," Osman states, making the kids turn to look at each other, eyes wide. "Run!" Melike shouts and they take off to the field, trying to get there before them.
Behind Orhan, Aylah trips over a small hollow in the ground. Orhan turns around, glancing at his father and uncles who were close behind them. He holds out his hand to her, "Aylah, come on!" Aylah shakes her head, "Go, Orhan, I can distract them," Orhan just shakes his head adamantly, "Come on, we can make it. Together?"
Aylah looks up at him, glancing behind her, before taking his hand.
"Together."

I'd like to thank you all so much for all the support, comments, and hilarious conversations we had. I truly appreciate every single one of you.Don't worry, this isn't the end of our tale, in a day or two I will start the sequel of this story. The sequel shall go through Aylah's life in the tribe, as well as problems she faces along the way. So, I hope to see you all at the next one.
