Boran alp P.O.V

It's early morning, a light orange glow set over the tribe. I walk around alone, today a war will begin. A million thoughts run through my head. I wonder if I'll make it out alive, even if I do, how many of my friends will be granted martyrdom in this war?

I look around the tribe, 'I might never come back here. I might die as a shaheed, I might be reunited with everyone I've lost. Ana, Baba, Aylah, Konur, Aybars, Bamsi Bey, Savci. But, there are many things I have here in the tribe. People I love.'

I feel a hand on my arm, "Are you alright, Boran?" Gonca asks, and I look over at her, giving a reassuring smile. "I'm fine, just... thinking about the possibilities of this war," I say carefully, not wanting to straight-up say I might die. Then, I hear a patter of small feet behind me, "Boran Abi!"

Zehra runs over to me as I turn around and I put on a smile. "Zehra, what's wrong?" I ask, kneeling and seeing the tears in her eyes. "Where are Baba, Ali Abi, and Suleyman Abi?" Zehra asks, and I sigh, Zehra had been asking Yigit, but Yigit would change the subject or ignore her question. "Your Baba, Ali, and Suleyman Abi are in a special place. A very beautiful place where they will meet our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ."

"R-really?" Zehra asks in a quiet voice. I smile sadly, "They will live in that beautiful place, with flowers, and pretty horsey-s." I add, hoping to get her to smile, "Horsey-s? Suleyman Abi loves horsey-s."  I nod, "That's good, don't you think they will be happy in that place?" Zehra wipes her eyes, "Yeah... but, but don't they miss me?"

"Of course, they miss you Zehra. But, they want you to grow up and be happy and strong."  Zehra nods, "They'll always be proud of you." Zehra hugs me, "I think Suleyman Abi would've liked you, you could've been friends." I spot Gonca smiling at me and I smile back with a hint of sadness.

I glance up at the sky, it's almost time to go. "I have to go now, you're going to be a good girl, right Zehra?" Zehra nods, "Turgut Bey said I could play against him," I chuckle. "Are you going to win?" Zehra nods confidently, "Are you going to go fight the bad guys, Abi?"  I nod, "Make sure to defeat all the bad guys, okay?" Zehra orders and I put my hand to my heart, "I promise."

Zehra runs off and I go to the stables to get my horse. Gonca and I walk side by side as we go to the front of the tribe. I spot all the alps gathering and says goodbye to their families.  As I stop my horse in its spot, I turn to Gonca. She kisses my hand,  "May your fight be blessed, Boran'm." I smile, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

A few minutes later, I see Goktug walk over with his horse, standing it next to mine. I walk over to him, bumping my shoulder into his. "So, did you tell her?" I ask, but by the red tint on his face, I can tell he did. "I did, somehow." He replies quietly and I chuckle, "And the world didn't end?" Goktug rolls his eyes, "Shut up, Boran."

Osman Bey exits his tents, walking down the steps of the Marquee. He takes his horse's reins from the alp and gets on. I place my foot in the stirrup of the saddle and swing my leg over, grabbing the reins. Osman Bey trots his horse forward, "Today marks the start of a long war."

"With Allah's will, we will come out victorious and will continue to fight for our cause. Some of us will be granted the honor of martyrdom in this war. But, we will fight, we will fight to take the revenge of all our martyrs!" ( I'm not Osman, I can't write epic speeches)

"Gaza Vaktidir! Now is the time to fight!" Osman Bey rears his horse and rides forward, all of us behind him. I look around the tribe as I ride behind Osman Bey, knowing the chances I might never see it again.

Osman Bey and the others Beys figure Nikola and Dukas would attack the villages in Domanic. We watch a small troop enter the uplands, and Osman Bey splits us up into groups. I stand with Goktug and Cerkutay as Osman talks to the other beys. I hold my arm out and Goktug groans, "Please don't tell me we're doing the weird three-person handshake again."

"Yes, we are. There's a possibility that one of us is going to die, and you're not going to do it because it's weird?" I shoot back and Goktug crosses his arms like a child. I look at him expectantly and he sighs, "Fine." Goktug draws his sword and holds it next to mine, then Cerkutay sets his on top.  "Ya Shaheed, Ya Gazi."

Goktug pulls his arm away, "Happy now, Boran?" I smirk, "Yes." Osman Bey walks over to us, filling us in on the situation. "The troop is not led by Dukas or Nikola. There's something going on, but I don't know what." Osman Bey thinks, but they make plans to attack anyway.

Osman Bey orders an attack from four sides, as he leads us in the front. We ride forward across the plain and I grip my sword, taking a deep breath. 'Here we go.'

A/N: Hello Hello, this chapter is a bit shorter than usual. But, my mom made me do Algebra, and even though I knew how to do it, it kinda killed my brain. So... yeah I guess that's it.

Oh yeah, I saw this video on youtube, the title says "Gonca and Boran, The killers of beautiful moments." It's a compilation of Gonca and Boran interrupting OsBal.

Salaam and Have a great day!
