(Fortieth chapter)

"I can't do this."

Sowon muttered, shaking her head vigorously. With the injunction to run away from her problem, she turned to leave from the way she had come here. But a pair of hands grabbed her shoulders strongly from behind, enough to keep her bay at her current posture.

I need to run away, this is not fair.

Namjoon sighed.

"Sowon, don't make me force you."

"You can't!" She cried hysterically.

Namjoon did not speak more but began to put force on his palms to push Sowon's frigid body towards the gate. She realised his plan and began to stomp her feet heavier to the ground, hoping that would stop his push but it was futile.

In the end, Sowon was pushed towards the end of the gate by him and she whirled her head to snarl in his direction.

"I said I can't do this, what is wrong with you?"

"Stop running from your problems like a kid all the time. Learn to face them."

"But I don't want to."

Namjoon raised a brow, "what was that?"

When Sowon didn't answer and only hung her head low, he decided that it was enough chat they had and making sure their plan would work was the utmost important task at hand.

He glanced at the small house noting the structures and designs, the green pain slowly wearing off from the walls and he tsked. It needed to be re-painted.

"Go on, ring the bell."

"But I don't think she will allow me to come in."

"Just try, will you?"

Sowon gave up her attempt to act helpless in front of him and turned to face the huge black gate again.

Okay, you can do this. Yes, it was nothing hard. She just had to ring the bell and ask if Haneul was at home. When Namjoon had proposed the trip idea, Sowon didn't know that her payment for joining them was to bring Haneul along.

It was his genius plan that she was now stuck here, still unsure of how to face her ex-friend with the wounds they gave to one another and was standing like a fool, outside her house.

Ding dong.

She nervously rang the bell and cleared her throat. The intercom was not answered for a moment and Sowon hoped that they were not at home. But to her dismay, it was soon answered before she could run away with Namjoon.

"Hello?"

"Ah- um, hi this is Sowon. Is there uh-"

"Sowon dear?"

It was Haneul's mom who sounded both delighted and surprised.

"Yes, it's me. I uh, wanted to know if Haneul was at home."

Silence. It felt like silence was louder than anything in her ears. Biting her lip, Sowon was mentally preparing herself to be rejected and be sent back home.
