(Forty-seventh chapter)
Sowon was so wrong.
When she had firmly thought that she would no longer let her thoughts ruin or rule over her, she was wrong. Nothing could stop the train from wandering around because there was no stopping from the start itself.
How could one stop a moving target without break?
"Human brain has developed to so much extend and I am still here, trying to navigate my thoughts."
By far it was also one of the hardest tasks a person could try to accomplish when they tend to think more against the odds rather than in a positive way.
Sowon stood up from her bed, heading towards her desk to do the only thing which could keep her thoughts at bay and help her calm down; write. But there was another question rising when Sowon didn't find the book stacked on her bookshelf.
Where did her diary go?
"Perhaps I kept it in my drawer."
Silently hoping that her diary would be found stuck somewhere, Sowon began her search for the personal book. But to her dismay, all her drawers were void of the object she was looking for.
Don't panic, she told herself, blaming her mind for doing certain mind games and giving her anxiety. There was no way anyone would take her diary because Sowon always kept it hidden safely.
Click.
Now despite her attempt to be calm, Sowon's body was reacting differently than her intentions. Her blood was rushing quicker, her stomach recoiling in unknown fear, hands clamping with sweat as she pulled her closet open.
"It should be here, yes, maybe I kept it here."
Pulling her clothes aside she brews the search for her now lost object, her pulse quickening and saliva going dry when she couldn't find her diary, not even in the last place she would keep.
What if…Sowon shook her head continuously, desperately trying to remove the 'what if' thoughts from her head. They were nothing but the epitome of unwanted fear and suspicion.
But if her diary was nowhere in her room, where else could it be? Sowon never took her diary anywhere else from her room, except when situations occur. She checked every corner of her room again, hands slightly shaking on their accord now when she realised the truth she was trying to avoid.
Nowhere. Her diary was officially lost.
Did someone take it? Did a robber enter my room? Who could do this? What if that person hates me? What if…
Sowon couldn't take the pressure building off her head now. Everything was overwhelming and her senses were not allowing her mind to focus on trying to mentally remember the last time she wrote in her diary and where it was last kept.
"The last time I had it was when I shifted to Namjoon's room during renovation and wrote something before-" the remaining words suddenly died on her lips as Sowon realised the weight of her words and gulped, "-oh gosh please no."
The fast throbbing of her heart against her rib cage echoed like a haunting noise in her ears, her lips quivering as Sowon's mouth went dry. There was no way that was possible, right?
Sowon laughed, shaking her head twice in a row. She must be overthinking again. Just because she was not getting along well with Namjoon didn't mean her brain had to blame him for everything. Sowon admits that she took her diary in his room but him taking her personal stuff sounded way too weird.
