(Fifty-fifth chapter)
Sowon never felt less burdened that than night.
After sorting out the misunderstandings and stuff with Hoseok, she got to realise how much she had been overthinking till today, that he might never see her again or forgive her until forever and whatsoever. But now all that was gone.
And I was stupidly worried about these things.
Drinking their coffees, Hoseok made it clear that their friendship was never affected and that they would still be good friends. She was thankful, and they spent some time going through old memories and having a good evening until Hoseok got called for an emergency surgery call.
He was upset that he had to suddenly leave when they finally reconciled and offered to drop her off. But Sowon denied it because she knew her house was a good distance away from the hospital where Hoseok worked as the head surgeon.
And now, feeling giddy and happy, Sowon was walking home in the dark, somewhat alone but she was not affected because she was in a good mood. She giggled to herself, knowing that the worry for Hoseok was over. She was practically over the moon that everything worked out between them.
“I am home!”
She happily announced, entering the house gleefully.
But a not so happy Mrs Han appeared with her hand on her hip, a stern expression on her face.
“Mind telling me where have you been this late?”
“I went out to meet a friend.”
“Friend? Who?”
“Hoseok.”
Mrs Han looked rather appalled than pleased because she literally favoured Hoseok so much that Sowon used to envy it some days during their high school era. She had already told a brief summary about a fight that occurred between them.
“Why? What did you guys do?” Mrs Han asked before she frowned, “you did not fight again, did you?”
“Fight who?”
Sowon internally rolled her eyes when she heard the masculine voice join their conversation. Namjoon walked over with a curious expression while Mrs Han gleamed.
Sowon scowled, “none of your business.”
“Han Sowon!” Mrs Han gasped before turning to a bewildered Namjoon, “I am sorry for her rudeness. She just met her friend Hoseok and seemingly, her mind is still not active.”
“You met him again?”
This time Namjoon turned to stare at Sowon in surprise, his face a good show of expression. Sowon considered another rude reply but kept the insult in when she noticed her mother glaring at her from the corner of her eye.
“Yeah.” Sowon turned to her mother, “I am heading up.”
She hurriedly walked past them and climbed the stairs, hoping that she can quickly enter her room before her mother
throws another list of questions in her direction.
