Midorima's POV
I stood face to face with [f/n] on the basketball court. Still holding the ball in my hand and think of a way to gett pass her and score a point. It's not like I was afraid of her or something, I was just prepared for any condition to happen. You'll never know what [f/n] can do once she can stop your offense. I took a deep breath and concentrate to the basketball ring behind [f/n]'s shoulder. In an instant, I dribbled the ball between my legs trying to a do a fake. Luckily she fell for it, even just for a moment there. I saw a chance then positioned myself to shot a 3 point, in this range it's impossible for her to reach my shot.
"Wow, Shintaro-kun... I have to admit, you've become better and better since the last time I saw you play."
Right after I threw the ball into the air, she blocked the ball in an instant with a tremendous jump. A very high jump, too high to be done by a girl like her. She's totally a different person compared to the girl that I play against 5 years ago. She took the ball that fell to the ground and ran as fast as she could towards the ring.
"Now, go try and stop me Shintaro-kun. Just like old times.." She giggled and smiled at me then ran towards me with her offense while I'm doing defense.
I was sure that I gave her so much pressure in the defese, But somehow she managed to go through me with her incredible dribbling skills. Her dribble was much more powerful and incredible since the last time she taught me. She was getting closer to the ring and I quickly run towards her and tried to blocked her from scoring a point. I was so close to took the ball away from her, but she's very agile and somehow....
SHE PASSED ME AND SCORED A POINT.
'What? What was that?' I thought to myself. Still confused on what just happened back there. I stood on the basketball court, still gaped in awe after seeing her new basketball skills. [F/n] smiled at me then called my name.
"Hello?? Earth to Shintaro? Are you there?" She repeatedly waved her hand infront of me who still standing innocently in confusement.
"Tch. Stop it, nanodayo." I pushed her hand away from me than turned away to take the ball.
"Huuh?? What's wrong Shin-kun? Are you done already? But we were just playing for 10 minutes.."
"That's not what I meant, get yourself over here, nanodayo. It's my turn." I glared at her, getting impatient with her childish attitude.
"Yosha! Now that's the Shintaro that I know! You'll never give up just because of that right?" She ran towards me like a child with a bright smile.
We continued to play for another 10 minutes and it was really an intense game. Finally, the game ended. She won. And I lost. Nothing's change.
Your POV
I let out a little giggle while I saw Shintaro still panting hard after our super intense game. I took a small towel on the bench then threw it to him.
"Here you go Shin-kun. Y'know, I had to admit that game was quite intense. I've never felt like that since in America. You're getting stronger in your basketball skills." I smiled at him and leaned closer to him who was still sat on the court with so much exhaustion.
"Hmph, but still... I can't beat you." He replied with a flat face.
"Hey, there's nothing impossible in this world. I'm sure one day you can be better than me." I tried to cheer him up and patted his head.
