Akashi's POV
"Come in, Akashi."
I walked into the coach's office while carrying several piles of paper in my hand. This is my daily activities with the coach every time the basketball team finished a game. After Momoi and I made a report about the game, I handed it to the coach and we both always discuss it together to improve the team more.
It always goes like that. Every time. But of course, this day was different. Especially after Aomine's unexpected actions in the last game. I didn't quite understand what happened after he ran away from the court like that. But I knew that it wasn't a good thing for the team. And since then, he often skipped practice and acted like he didn't even care about anything. Surprisingly, coach didn't act fast to handle this problem. That's why I had to talk to him. Before things become worse.
"This is the report from the last game." I said while handing the report to the coach and took a seat in front of his desk.
"Ah, yes. Thank you Akashi. As usual you always did a great job as a captain. I must say i'm impressed." Coach re-positioned his seat and examined the report. His eyes explored every sentences in it.
I watched and waited for a several minutes while sometimes moved uncomfortably on my seat. I was still bothered by coach's act towards Aomine. I mean, he seems to let him do whatever he wanted to do. And in my opinion, as a coach he wasn't suppose to act like that. I was afraid that this might give a negative effect to the team.
I kept thinking, and thinking. How could I talk to coach about this. We really have to do something. Fast.
"Is there something wrong?" Coach suddenly paused and brought me back to reality from my own thoughts.
"N-no. It's nothing, coach." I said and lowered my head.
The man stared at me for awhile then finally put down all the papers on his desk. He slowly leaned towards me and prop up his chin on one of his palm. "Okay then, what did you want to say to me?" He said.
My eyes widened in surprise. I couldn't believe he just read my mind just by staring at me. Coach is really an unpredictable man. I sighed and re-positioned my seat.
"It's about Aomine, sir." I finally said after regaining my courage to speak.
His expression changed instantly. It became more colder and serious, which I knew that it wasn't a good sign. He got up from his seat and turned to face the window. His arms crossed and his eyes were staring blankly to the orange sky.
"Ah, about that. You must be wandering why he often skipped practice. Well, I knew that sooner or later you would ask me about this." He said.
I stayed silent.
Coach sighed heavily, "No need to be worry Akashi, he was just having a hard time in the team. I already talk to him about this."
"And... Is that suppose to be a good thing?" I asked him sternly while hoping for an answer.
He didn't quickly reply my question. A short silence enveloped the entire room. "All that you need to know is... I can control this situation. I'll try as best as I can to keep the team together. So for now on, just pretend that all of this is nothing but a small bump for our improvements. Everything's gonna be okay." He said without turning away from the window. Suddenly he clicked his tongue in annoyance and mumbled to himself, 'Ck, not again...' Even though I was quite far from his position, I could still hear his voice. It didn't take long before curiosity finally took control of me. I stood up and make my way beside him and looked outside the window.
A blue navy head just walked out from the gymnasium. Followed a pink haired girl behind him. The boy was just a several steps away from the gym until the pink haired girl stopped him from behind. They seemed to be arguing about something. I couldn't hear their voices from up here but I could tell that it was an intense argument. The girl kept scolding the boy while in the other hand, he acted like he didn't even care or listen to any of her words. It goes on like that for a several minutes until the pink haired girl finally gave up and left the navy blue haired boy alone and went into the gym.
