1 Week Later

Midorima's POV
It's been a week since that day. [F/n] didn't come to take care of the basketball practice anymore. She was absent for almost everyday. And to be honest it makes me worry in some ways. Even in class, I tried to talk to her after that incident but she kept making distance between us. It was really awkward. Remembering that the person who always cling to me like a glue everytime we met at the school gate, the person who always shout out my name everytime she came to my house just for a visit, the person who always tolerate my cold attitude, somehow just vanish.
"Shintaro... Shintaro!"
I snapped out of my thoughts right after somebody called out my name. I turned to him and found Akashi staring at me with a frown. "Is there something wrong, Akashi?" I asked out of the blue.
The red head just chuckled lightly and put his hands on his waist arrogantly, "Wrong? I should be the one who asked you that. I already called you 5 times but you didn't response. Daydreaming again, huh?"
I sighed and averted my gaze from him then made my way towards the basketball court, "It's nothing. Just forget about that and go on with the practice." I said.
"Don't put up such stupid face in front of me, Shintaro. I've known you for quite a long time. And you can't fool me with that excuses."
"I told you it was nothing important to talk about, nanodayo."
We both stayed silent for a moment before Akashi finally decided to break the ice.
"It's about [F/n]. Isn't it?"
I felt my body got tense in an instant the moment that name came out from Akashi's mouth. I glanced at him and found one satisfying smile on that red haired face figure. He chuckled and leaned against the wall, "She didn't come to see our practice again since that day. Heh, you really did a great job on finishing our problem with her. I'm impressed."
"I don't see it as a compliment, nanodayo. Do you really think you made the right decision?" I cut him off with a cold stare which made Akashi's face turned more serious.
"I have my own reasons to do so. Besides, I'm always right, aren't I?" He said as he approach me and patted my shoulder lightly. "But... if you still can't get your mind off of this, it will affect your play in the game. And I absolutely can't tolerate that." He added.
I sighed heavily as I shrugged his hand off of my shoulder. I was about to say something but he cut me off by lending me a small white envelope. It made me a bit surprise at first. But in the end I took that thing from his hand and gave him a questioning look. "What's this?"
"Just open it. It will answer everything. So you won't be wondering about her again." He said as he made his way towards the court, leaving me speechless with no idea what to do.
I had a bad feeling about this. Half of myself told me not to open that envelope. But at the same time, I wanted to know what happen to her. And why's she acted like she didn't know me. So I gain my courage and ripped off the white envelope and pulled out a small letter from it. My eyes widen right after I realize what was that letter about.
"This is... It can't be..."
A resignation letter. Written by [L/n] [F/n].

Right after the practice ended I quickly wore my school uniforms and dashed out of the gymnasium. I gripped that piece of paper in my hand while my thoughts were wondering around and a lot of questions immediately filled my head.
