Previously:
I open the door to hear screaming. I try to go into my room but, my dad caught me. "HEY! GET OVER HERE YOU BRAT!" He throws an empty beer bottle at me. I dodge it but he throws the nearest thing (A bowl) and throws it. It hits my left eye but, I sprint to my room. I lock the door and I put a chair on the handle. "I hope my dad dies from liver failure." I go to the desk and I started doing homework.

"Hey..." Yashiro grabbed my wrist before we went to school. "Have you been thinking about Hanako's words? The friend with a murder thing? It's been bothering me for weeks." Yashiro let out. "No, not really. He said he was joking."  I smiled. "Yeah, but he sounded kind of angry," Yashiro suggested.

"Maybe...I just don't like thinking about it." I resumed walking inside.

~Time Skip~

Me and Yashiro were by the flower pots. "Hello? What's your guy's deal?" Aoi asked suddenly. "Sorry, we couldn't hear you!" Yashiro waves her hand. We were both holding a flower pot. "Really? You two are spacing out a lot lately. I'm starting to get kinda worried. Or is our Yashiro lost in a daydream about a new crush? Or is Y/N daydreaming about what she should say for her 7th confession this week?"

"No, it isn't that," I replied. "I wish," Yashiro added. "Oh, I heard a creepy story being passed around recently that you might like. About the Second of the Seven Wonders."

"The Misaki Stairs. It's said that you must never step on the fourth stair. And if you happen to break that rule...you'll immediately be sucked into another world. The world of the dead. No one will know you've gone missing and you'll be ripped into tiny pieces. They say that if you cost the staircase at twilight, you'll find the blood of its victims dripping from that fourth step."

"I'm sure you've seen it. It's the staircase in front of the art room. I've actually heard a bunch of kids say they've seen puddles of blood over there. Heh." Aoi gossiped. "Oh...Really?" I asked in a scared tone. "Hey! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you! I thought you guys liked creepy stories." Aoi told us. "Yeah! We do! Love 'em!" Yashiro replied.

I could tell Yashiro was lying though. Every time Aoi tells her a rumor we get targeted by the same story. Aoi grabs our hands and smiles. "Oh, good! I was worried I messed it up! I've never been that good at telling scary stories! I've been listening for more of them lately because I know they make you two smile more!"

"Thanks, that's sweet," Yashiro told her. "Thank you," I added. "You must be lost, is that right?" We turn to see our teacher. "Because my students would never miss their appointments. Career Counseling meeting? Meet in the day art room at 4:30? None of that rings a bell?" The teacher waves the paper. "I gotta go!" Aoi releases her hands and rushes out the door. "Later guys! Get better! Call me! I'll have a story ready for you!"
