"Hey.. it's time to get up."

I hear Remus trying to wake me up but I just want to keep sleeping. I'm so tired.

"Cameron, it's time to get up."

He's not going to stop until I get up. I groan and lift the blanket over my head.

"I don't want to be awake, I want more sleep." I whine. Remus laughs and I stick my head out of the blanket.

"What's so funny?"

"You are so much like your father." He says with a smile on his face. "Come on, it's time to get you sorted. Dumbledore is expecting us in his office."

"Fine." I mumble. "I hate mornings." Remus smiles again before getting up and exiting the room so I can get ready.

You are so much like your father.

I like that someone who knew him knows me because without Remus.. I would know basically nothing about him. My own father.

I don't have much to go on besides the visits to Azkaban but even they were short so family bonding was minimal. If it wasn't for Remus, I wouldn't know things like how he's a pain in the ass in the mornings like I am.

I throw on the flannel and some leggings for the day. I'm not sure what to expect from the day.. Especially since they think my father could show up at any moment... and all of them think he's dangerous.

I brush my hair and use my headband to keep it out of my face. This is how I usually like to wear my hair. Either that or braids, mostly because they're easy hair styles and I'm not a morning person.

"Can you explain to me how someone gets sorted?" I ask Remus as I come out of the room.

"There's this hat they will put on your head and it'll read you to see what house you fit in the most.. usually based off of the characteristics you possess." Remus explains.

I nod.

"Not nerve wracking at all.. having a hat read my mind."

Remus laughs again and nods his head. "It was nerve wracking when I was a kid too but it's not as bad as you're thinking it is."

"It's not going to tell you guys everything I'm thinking, right?" I ask nervously.

"No, your secrets are safe up there kid." Remus says as he hands me a bagel. "Sit down and eat your breakfast."

I sit down across from him at this small table to eat the bagel. He knows they're my favourite breakfast. Bagel and cream cheese.

"So... this other kid-"

"Harry." Remus interrupts. "What about him?'

"What house was he sorted into?"

"Gryffindor."

"Just like his parents." I add. Remus nods.

"So it's possible that I'll get sorted into Gryffindor too because my father was sorted there too?"

"It's possible yes, but I can't say for sure. It's possible that you'll be sorted into another house." Remus explains.

"My uncle.. What house was he sorted into?" I ask. I don't know much about my uncle besides his name.

"Slytherin." Remus replies dryly. "Like most of your family. Sirius was the exception."

"So it's possible that I'll get sorted into Slytherin too?"

"I guess." Remus replies. "Try not to worry about where you get sorted, okay? I'll be proud of you no matter what."

"Okay..."
