I sat in front of a vanity mirror as I prepped myself backstage, making sure I looked alright enough before I was called on stage.

"Hm, you look nervous." A girl who stage name was suga said holding out a clear shot glass with a brown liquid inside.

"I don't drink- and I know, this isn't really my scene I should've been a bottle girl or something." I twisted my lips to the side looking down at my hands.

"It'll help you loosen up, especially if it's your first time actually on stage.." she trailed off putting the shot in front of me before patting my shoulder then walking off.

I looked around the room at the girls that were walking around half naked with money all over.

Picking up the shot glass I observed the liquid inside before taking a deep breath then drinking it, i scrunched up my face at the taste and the burning sensation in my throat.

I heard the music stop and then the dj began to speak, i sighed again before standing up and walked behind the big black and purple curtain that led you to the stage.

"But look yall we got a new shorty coming up on stage tonight, show some love fa da newbie and shit."

"Welcome amethyst ta da stage." He finally announced, I took another deep breath before opening the curtains and stepping out.

I sat in a section wit slick, ar and glizzy at this la club called bleu's paradise, shit was high key crowded and I fucked wit it.

"Aye I'm finna go hollat dat bartender ova there i'a be back." Glizzy said getting up and made his way over there as the dj stopped the music and started saying some shit.

"Welcome Amethyst to the stage." He announced as lights flashed the stage, i picked up a bottle of 1942 and sipped on it turning my attention to the phone.
