My jet black ponytail flipped and flopped as I made my down the train aisle, students in front of me were filling in seats. I made my way into an empty carriage, and plopped onto the seat as my thoughts raced.Phew. What a day! I sighed, snapping out of my thoughts. I turned to the window and instantly spotted my Mother, Father, and little brother excitedly waving at me from the station. My eyes instantly teared as I waved back then I felt the train begin to move.
My mother also had tear filled eyes, my father wore a big smile. He appeared happy, but I knew he would miss me the most. My younger brother hopped up and down as he waved at me, and then before I knew it they were gone. All I could see for miles ahead were soft blue ocean and lush green hills.
I cried for a moment, until a young brunette girl stepped into my carriage.
"Is this seat taken?" She asked, a friendly grin on her face.
"No, it's not." I spoke through my cries as I wiped the last of my tears away.
The curly haired brunette sat across from me.
"Everything's going to be fine! You'll see your family again soon! What kind of bender are you?" She spoke eagerly. Her eyes wide, her hands planted on each side of her, and her shoulders up high, her smile growing larger.
"Im a water bender, but I'm not that good yet." I spoke.
"Yet!!! That's what Omashu Academy is for you'll be a pro in no time girl!" She smiled harder.
She instantly made me feel better. I smiled.
"What kind of bender are you?" I asked.
She grinned before throwing her arms in the air her palms faced the ceiling. She then shut both her fists....
ERRrRrRrRkkkkkkk!
Then she opened her fists back again.
ERRrRrRrRkkkkkkk!
A horrible screech erupted from our carriage. The roof above us caved in slightly before returning back to normal.
"Holy crap you can metal bend?! What are you like a year three?" I gasped.
"Year one, earth bender. My family has been training with me since a kid." She smiled.
"That's pretty awesome!" My smile turned into a frown.
"I wasn't able to bend until last year..." I explained.
She got up from her side and came set next to me rubbing my shoulder.
"It's okay girl. That's exactly what we're coming to the academy to do. To learn! You just have to have confidence in your abilities! What's your name by the way?"
"Stella, and you?"
" I'm Karmen, nice to meet you!"
"Nice to meet you too!"
