Chapter 11

The next day Leah confronted ruby. She waited in till she got home from work. The only ones home was her, ruby, and seth and Dean. Ruby was already late home due to taking Bella home and then going back to the high school to put a new battery in Bella truck. It was dark when she got home and as soon as she got home Leah ambushed her.

"why do you care!" ruby shouted at Leah.

"so do you not care about your safety? What if one of those leaches get a hold of Dean?" Leah shouted. Leah did hear the conversation that she had with Seth. It broke her that her little sister didn't trust nor was she happy for her.

"there not leaches!" ruby spat her temperature getting hotter and this made her nervous that she's was about to let the wolf out. "I trust them with Dean!"

"well maybe you shouldn't!"

"Leah stop" seth said walking in with Dean. "stay out of this seth! I'm tired of you sticking up for her all the time!"

"don't you yell at him!" I said. "aunt Leah the Cullens are awesome and carlisle is really cool"

"your too young to understand so shut up!" that when Leah hit the ground. Ruby pushed her to the ground and the two girls started to fight. That's when Dean bolted out of the house without anyone knowing.

"I just want you to be save and see what everyone else dose!" leah said pining ruby to the ground. "and I just wanted a sister!" Leah suddenly let go and fell on her but.

"what happened to us?" Leah asked. "I don't know but I hate it" ruby replied.

"I still don't like them but I respect your decision" Leah said standing up. She quickly help ruby up and seth raced down the stairs. "guys Dean is gone"

"what do you mean he's gone?" Leah quickly said. Ruby didn't need to hear anything else. She ran outside and got in her car. She raced down the Highway trying to think of were he would go. She took a leap of faith and diled carlisle's phone.

"ruby what's wrong?"

"is Dean with you guys?" she asked frantically and almost on the verge of tears.

"no he's not, what's going on?" carlisle asked frantically.

"I don't know he wasn't in his room, carlisle I think he ran away" ruby cried.

"hay it's okay, I'll get everyone to split up and look for him" carlisle said before hanging up.

An hour later carlisle soon found him next to a tree a few miles away from the Cullen residents. "dean what are you doing?" he asked softly. Dean looked at the blond doctor with doe eyes.

"your mom is looking for you" he said setting down next to the kid after he wouldn't say anything. "I'm sorry" he sniffled as he pulled his knees to his chest.

"hay it's okay" carlisle said rubbing his back. "I just want my mom"

"I'll take you to her, everything is okay now" carlisle said. Dean then jumped into his arms and hugged him tight. Carlisle let a soft smile tug on his lips and he picked up the six year old.

"ruby I found him, meet me at the house" carlisle said softly as he drove down the road to his home

"momma!" dean shouted as he jumped out of carlisle's car and ran into ruby's arms. He held him for dear life and kissed the top of his head.

"don't you ever run off again" ruby said setting him down on the front porch of the cullen house. She fell to her knees to match her son's Hight. She held his small head in her hands gently. "please don't run off again" she said as tears pricked her eyes.

"I'm sorry momma" dean whispered and wiped the stray tears off her cheeks with his pointer finger. "I Love You bub" he whispered to her son after locking him in a hug. Carlisle watched with a smile as the rest of the family made it back home with relief painted on three faces when they saw the mother and son together.

"why don't you do something with Emmett and Jasper, I want to talk to carlisle" dean nodded and jumped on Emmett's back and the boys raced into the house.

"thank you" ruby cried as she rest her head against his chest. Carlisle immediately wrapped his arms around his mate. "he's okay now" he said pulling her from him and cupped her cheek with his could hands. "he's safe now" he placed gentle kiss on her lips pulling her into the house.

When she walked in she saw Dean wrapped up in a white fluffy blanket snuggled up in Esme's arms.

"I'm a bad mother, aren't I?" ruby was curled up in carlisle's bed and Dean was fast asleep next to her. Ruby had her arms wrapped around him protectively. She never left his side the rest of the night.

"your a wonderful mother" carlisle said climbing on the other side of the bed and sat up against the head board. He gently brushed the stray curls out of her face revealing her puffy eyes.

"i was so cought up in my own drama I didn't realize my son leaving the house" she snuggled her face on top of Dean's head crying into his brown hair.

Carlisle wrapped his arms around the both of them and hugged them gently. "it's gonna be okay now, I promise"
