Chapter 8

"so what happened?" ruby asked setting in carlisle's office chair. "Eliot is taking Edward and Rosalie home" he responded then closed the door of his office.

"sounded like Rose was pretty pissed with him" she said walking around his desk and sat on top of it. "it will be alright, I'm just glad your okay" he said walking up closer to her and placing his cold hands where her head hurt. She sighed at the comforting feeling and moved closer to him. "Alice told me she saw Bella in the accident, but not you" he sighed and ran his fingers through part of her hair that was dyed a punk rock red.

Carlisle carefully pulled her from his chest and placed his hand on her cheek and slowly leaned his face closer to hers. He brushed his nose against her's. "can I kiss you?" he asked softly. Ruby hands moved up to his jaw and pulled him down to her Hight smashing his cold lips to her's.

Carlisle placed his hands on his desk bracing himself from knocking her over. His arms caging her in between him and his desks. His kiss was soft trying to hold back his strength. Ruby sighed at him holding back. "I'm not made of glass, you ain't gonna hurt me" she said looking up to his gold eyes with a smile.

Carlisle moved his hands to her waist, kissing her deeply with as much meaning as he could without hurting her. She kissed him back, it was one thing she could focus on fully with her head still pounding from the accident.
Ruby pulled away and winced as her head throbbed again.

"God, I need to go get Dean" she whispered and placed her hands on his chest. "your not driving, we'll go pick him up together and bring him to the house" ruby nodded and slowly followed him out of his office.

Dean raced out of his school and looked around the parking lot for his mother's Plymouth fury. He stopped looking confused. Carlisle spotted the boy looking around and climb out of the car. "over here Dean"

Dean looked over the back Mercedes and saw carlisle standing next to it and the passenger side widow down showing his mom. Dean smiled and ran up to the car. "hay momma" he said as he climb into the back seat.

"hay buddy" she said softly. Dean immediately cought on and leaned over the console of the car and looked at his mom with puppy eyes. "are you okay?"

Ruby smiled and fluffed his hair. "yes, I'm fine just had a headache" he nodded and got back in his seat. "how was your day Dean?" carlisle asked as he started the car.

"it was good, our teacher just got done reading us the book Charlie and the chocolate factory and she letting us watch the movie now so we can see the difference between the two" dean said. Ruby smiled as she stood drifted off letting the two boys have their conversation.
