The house was quite and everyone was doing their own thing waiting for Ruby to return. Dean was on the floor with Emmett showing him the new Pokémon cards Esme got him.
Jasper and Alice were watching an old movie with Rosalie and Eliot. Edward was gone to see Bella and carlisle was reading in one of the corners in the living room.
A sudden gasp left Alice's mouth and she sat up from Jasper's arms. "what did you see Alice?" Jasper asked.
"its ruby, she's in trouble" carlisle was the first up throwing his book to the side. "where is she?"
"about five miles from the house, maybe less" carlisle turned to Esme. "take Dean home" that's when Dean tuned in completely missing their conversation. Carlisle was out the door in seconds and started his search for her. Jasper and Emmett left right behind him to help.
The search went on for a while before emmett smelled the blood. "carlisle I found her!" he shouted in the distance.
"Emmett?" she her breath shaking as Emmett knelt down next to her. "hang in there momma bear, carlisle is coming"
"I don't want to die" ruby let out a sob as her whole body burned. "it ain't long enough, 22 years ain't gonna be long enough"
Emmett held on to her hand as carlisle and Jasper reached there Location. Carlisle fell to his knees next her looking at all her bit marks.
"you gotta change her" Emmett said frantically. "will it even work on wolves?" Jasper asked.
"carlisle help me" she sobbed. Carlisle lifted her up. "I'm gonna make the pain go away" he bit into her neck as Emmett and Jasper looked away.
