"I promise to never forget you," hands held out small blue flowers, which were a sign of true respect and love for the brunette standing in front of them.

The shoes of the pedestrians clatter on the busy streets. Each color clashing, though most were black, brown, and white, with the occasional red sneakers or heels. Each person had a different stylistic choice, one wearing a tight dress, another wearing baggy sweat pants and a hoodie too big to be their size, or the casual Japanese businessman wearing a suit. The sky a gray color, clouds covering the natural midnight blue sky and off-white moon. Amber eyes peeked out from the crowd, observing every move unconsciously. All he, the owner of the amber eyes, could think about was them. Whoever they were. What was their name again?
He shook his head, whilst a sigh erupted from him. It was no use, their memory disappeared as if it were a dream. All he remembered was the promise they made. What they gave him, what he obtained. He kept the tiny flowers, it had been four years ago since he was given them. They had dried up, yet he still kept them, as a reminder that he had made a promise. A promise with someone he loved, but didn't know. He didn't know their name, he didn't know where they were, but he was certain that if they had met again, somehow, he would know that it was them.
The person he made a promise with. It grew colder, the sky darkening. Rain poured down from the sky, cool droplets falling onto his head. Cold. He thought to himself as he walked past his workplace.
He passed by a certain someone. Someone who seemed oh so familiar. The flower in their hair, it was a forget-me-not. It was dry, it seemed similar to the one from four years ago he owned. He shook his head. It possibly couldn't be them. He chuckled to himself as he walked home.
He opened the door, stepping in and closing it, a click followed indicating he had locked it. He removed his shoes and coat, then stared out of his balcony. By this time, the rain cleared up, showing the beautiful night sky. The stars twinkled as if they were dancing. The moon humming along the sky.

                                                            ...

His eyes fluttered open, his alarm beeping loudly. He sat on the side of his bed, head in his hands before getting ready for work. When he was on the train, he saw them in another. It was them. The same person who gave him those flowers. When the train stopped, he ran out of the station to find them. His legs grew tired, in pain, yet he kept running. To find them.
When they met, it was as if they were meeting an old friend. An old friend that they haven't seen in awhile.
Their lips curled into a smile as they stared at him,"Chisaki?" He nodded, his eyes welling up with tears as he wasn't able to remember their name. He wasn't supposed to forget. Not now. Not ever.
