She needed to make her ex-boyfriend jealous, he needed to stop being set up on terrible dates, one kiss later and they're fake dating.

Natalia Fitzgerald is a college freshman who is trying to navigate a new world and a break-up. Along came Beau...
I had to do school, dance, and my dad's election. There were ten days until election day. We spent a lot of time knocking on doors, making social media post, and praying that election would turn in our favor.
At least my dad appreciated how much work I was putting in.
This week was my last weekend before I was busy with the election stuff.
So I was making the most out of it.
My friends and I had plans to go out to the city on Friday night, and Saturday night Drew's fraternity was throwing a caveman-themed party. I made sure that all of my friends would be in attendance.
College was all about making memories, so I knew that they had to come to this.
"Did everyone get their Caveman costume?" Merren asked the table.
I nodded my head. "We probably all ordered the same one from Amazon."
"Very true." Nia sipped her Martini.
Perks of having a fake ID.
"How are everyone's relationships going?" Gianna asked the table.
To be honest, I think that Nia and Bryson had the best relationship. They'd been dating since prom of senior year, and they were still together. I think they had the healthiest relationship that I'd ever seen. Other than my parents.
"It's ok." Merren shrugged.
I forgot that she was dating a football player.
"I kinda miss Natalia with baseball and TikTok boy." Evie teased me.
"You could've been on an influencer trip by now. What happened to you two anyway?" she continued.
How was I supposed to say that our fake relationship got too real and the feelings weren't that mutual?
"We both just got busy with school and stuff." I explained.
"Plus he was two years older than me. what were we going to do after he's done with college?" I shrugged.
Nia looked at me. "Where there's a will there's a way."
Also true.
"Alright, alright." I hushed them as they started to agree with Nia.
"I have a new boyfriend and I need everyone to respect that." I looked them in the eyes.
"Please." I added politely.
Francisca nodded her head. "Enough about men. Let's talk about something else. Do you guys think that Courtney Huey got a nose job?"
I laughed at her new topic.
She loved pop culture.
It was Francisca's dream to go into entertainment PR. I knew that she would do great in that field.
I always had so much fun with my friends.
They made me feel so alive and happy.
My friends always got me out of my head and back into reality. It was an aspect of our friendship that I really appreciated.
