And just like that, the boy who pulled me aside in a bar not too long ago graduated from college.

Not only was Mazhar Aydin a four year-student athlete but he also graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Arabic. He amazed me. I was so extremely proud of him.

The best was yet to come.

My parents allowed Beau's family to through a graduation party at their place since Texas was far from California.

I know the thought was premature, but I always wondered how we would celebrate holidays since our families were based out of different states.

I'm sure that we would figure it out, we always did.

"Are you enjoying your party?" I walked up to Beau.

He nodded his head as he put his arm around my waist.

"I am." he agreed. "I'm just nervous about Omaha. I can't believe that we're literally leaving the day after graduation."

Oh yes, the College World Series.

It was UCLA's first time making it in five years.

"Well, god thing your girlfriend is doing to support you." I smiled at him.

"I hope your boyfriend is there until the last day and leaves with a ring." he looked down at me.

I was going to Nebraska with both of my brothers. They enjoyed baseball and I needed them to keep me company while Beau was in the zone.

Tate wasn't really a baseball kind of girl so she didn't want to go. But she was going to New York City to visit family. I knew that she loved New York with all of the lights, broadway shows, and our family.

Hell, I was a bit jealous.

But there was no place I'd rather be than supporting my boy.

"I'm sure you will." I assured him.

"This is just a busy summer regardless. There's the World Series until the 30th, then the Bahamas from the fourth to the eleventh, then the fucking draft on the thirteenth." he recalled all the dates.

I rubbed his back. "Everything is going to work out at the end of the day."

"You're right." he took a deep breath.

"Life could all be so different a month from now." Beau realized.

I guess everything was starting to hit him.

"I could be a homeowner." he winked.

I knew what he was referring to, but I wanted my name to be on the paper too. I wasn't even twenty yet and had no steady income.

"Hopefully a homeowner somewhere near Los Angeles." I chuckled.

Beau crossed his fingers. "Inshallah."

"But let's not worry about that right now. You're almost twenty! Then I'll finally won't be dating a teenager." he gently shook me.

I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. "I know. You're such a dirty old man dating a nineteen-year-old."

"Twenty and twenty-two does sound better than nineteen and twenty-two." he agreed.

"But no matter what happens these next few weeks, we're going to live a fulfilling life. You're going to finish college, be captain of the dance team, get into PA school, life is going to get better and better." he went on.

I looked him in the eyes. "Life got better when you finally gave me your heart."
