The last day to register to vote in California was fifteen days before election day. So here we were on our college campus, more than thirty days before election day to get more people registered. 

I must say that our setup came out very nice.

I think the incentives encouraged people to register to vote. 

It was crazy what college students would do for food, money, and scholarships. 

"How many people have we registered?" I asked Alyssa.

She looked down at her computer. "One hundred in two hours, but we've had a thousand come by. Most people are already registered in their respective states. We've had over a thousand people pledge to vote in exchange for a chance to win some of our prizes."

"Good, good." I responded. 

I looked up to see Beau walking up to our table with a group of guys behind us.

"Hi, Natty." he smiled. "I brought some friends."

"What do I have to do for a cupcake?" Beau asked me.

I looked down at the sign. "Register to vote or show me your voter's registration."

"And to spend time with the future president's daughter?" Beau joked.

I walked from behind the table to Beau. "Nothing for you."

"Mazhar Beau Aydin registered in Texas." I smiled. "You're also eligible to enter into our scholarship raffle. What flavor do you want? I have red velvet, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry,"

He shook his head. "Nah, save it for someone else who needs it. I'll take a red velvet cupcake."

I went behind the table and handed him a single cupcake in a box. 

"My favorite flavor." I pointed out.

"My flame." he winked.

I looked around. "Thank you for bringing the whole team."

"I always got your back." he gently nudged me. 

"Do I get inauguration tickets?" Beau grinned.

I shook my head. "That's prime baseball season for you. You gotta get that draft stock up."

"You keeping tabs on my schedule?" he raised his eyebrow.

"Not intentionally." I looked him in those hazel eyes. "Ashton."

Beau nodded his head. "Does he wanna come to tour the facilities? I can make it happen before life gets crazy."

"Really? He would love that." I agreed. "He still thinks highly of you."

"That's sweet." Beau chuckled. "Does he still have that page with all his highlights? Oh, send me his number and the link."

I took out my phone and started to send things to Beau.

Ashton better worship the ground I walk on.

"It's under Nathaniel Fitzgerald." I informed him.

"How is Archer doing with law school?" Beau questioned me.

"It's stressful, but he is enjoying New Haven. He's been working super closely with my dad which will be good for his future." I elaborated. "He's also been dating this new girl for a couple of months. Her name is Amaiya, she's super sweet."

I glanced at Beau. "They're both first-year lawyers, so."

"They'll be making big bank together." Beau added.
