PERCY JACKSON
I stood atop the hill, waiting. This was the day my army had trained the campers for. It was all going down now. I took a glance back at all the campers. I had to pep talk them first. Because... that's what they do in movies and it seriously looks cool.
"Campers!" I announced, "You've all trained hard. Your skills improved dramatically. You're all such trained fighters..." I trailed off, trying not to get emotional, "I'm... I'm proud to have trained you. So we will take down Order's army once and for all."
The campers cheered and I made eye contact with Annabeth. Sea-green meeting gray. So as I watched Order's army march forward, I sent one prayer to the gods and the Fates.
Let Annabeth live... Please. Let her live.
And my face turned back to stone. I could see Parker, Lucy, Tyler, Flora, Carl, Annabelle... and Hannah. The seven commanders of Order's Army. And with my training with them... I knew they were vicious. I knew they were bad. But as I met Hannah's orange eyes, I couldn't help but feel sorry. Because I betrayed her after telling myself I'd never inflict that damage upon anyone.
And here I was doing it to someone who finally trusted me. Who I trusted.
"Attack!" Hannah commanded, her eyes never leaving mine for a second.
Well, before I jumped into attack. The campers were chanting. Chanting the words I never thought I'd hear in my whole life.
"FOR THALOST! FOR CHAOS! FOR TRUST! FOR TRUST! FOR THALOST! FOR CHAOS! FOR TRUST! FOR TRUST!"
They were chanting... for the things they'd done wrong... I rolled out of the way as a dagger tried to imbed itself in my head. Bad timing monster. For ruining my moment, I killed it. NEVER DO THAT WHEN I HAVE AN EMOTION, DUDE! I hacked at the monster before blasting another to smithereens.
"SEA SPAWN! I HEARD THE SEA SPAWN'S BACK!" Polybotes.
I rose into the air.
"Not a sea spawn, sea bitch!"
"WHAT THE--" Polybotes started but I stabbed at him, running along his poisonous skin.
Polybotes roared, trying to grab me. But he made his mistake, realizing it too late. Poseidon stabbed him with his trident.
"Bye... old friend," Poseidon glared at Polybotes as he burst into gold dust.
I glanced at Poseidon and we awkwardly shared a nod before we both sped off to do our own thing. I twirled, kicking Medusa in her face, avoiding her poisonous snakes as I chopped her head off.
"NO!" I saw Sthenno and Euryale running forward, furious for their sister's death.
Their talons were out, sharp and ready. I kicked Sthenno in the face and sliced Euryale in half, wincing as her talons cut my skin.
"WAIT!" Sthenno whimpered, "I HAVE SAMPLES!"
"Bullshit," I smirked before stabbing straight through her.
I grabbed the vials on the floor and tossed them to the healers, who frowned, but kept them nonetheless. I twirled around to face a hellhound, killing it with a single swipe. I then met a sword and orange eyes. The moment orange met sea green, I pulled back, as she did. We both stared at each other for a good two seconds before running away from each other, slashing through whatever was in our way.
I saw Piper and Jason being overpowered by a group of monsters, so I hauled the one on the top off of them, throwing it into a tree, where it burst into dust when Zoë shot it with one of her arrows. Luke stabbed through one, allowing Piper and Jason to continue their fight. They silently thanked us with nods... Funny how popular that is on the battlefield.
"Help!" Kayla, daughter of Apollo screamed.
I saw a boy lying on the floor.
"What?" I said.
Kayla glanced at me nervously before pointing to the dagger imbedded in the boy's chest.
"It's my little brother... He's only ten... please..."
I then remembered... the Umbion Stone. I took it out of my suit and touched it to his body. Immediately, the color returned to his face. I handed the stone to Kayla.
"Give this to Will! It'll heal the campers immediately!"
She nodded, running off with her unconscious brother in her arms. I smiled. That would make healing a lot easier.
"PER--THALOST WATCH OUT!"
I saw cinnamon curls push me out of the way as a dagger hit Hazel in the leg, leaving her yelling out in pain.
"Hazel!" Frank grabbed Hazel and pulled her over to the sidelines lovingly, "Fight, Per--Thalost! Fight!"
And for the first time, I took that order. I hacked through a monster, kicking it in the shin.
"LEO!"
I whipped around to see Leo thrown into a tree.
"F**k," I cursed under my breath as Thalia grabbed Leo, racing his unconscious body to the infirmary.
Campers were going in, taking little shots of nectar, hopping back into action, and going with it.
"I know it's younger kids, but we can't do this," I heard Jason say to me, "I respect your decisions... but we need their help to win."
I understood what he meant.
"YOUNGER CAMPERS!" he yelled, "ASSEMBLE!"
The young campers looked like they had been waiting for that opportunity. They all charged out, already in armor, slicing through the monsters like they did with the dummies in their training.
"MOVE MOVE MOVE!" I yelled, pushing a child out of the way as a dagger zoomed pass my forehead.
I threw a knife into the monster that had sent that dagger, making it explode into golden dust. I saw Luke grappling with Tyler, kicking him hard in the stomach a couple of times before throwing him into the cabin wall, stabbing him in the leg and knocking him out unconscious. Bianca was with Beckendorf and Silena, who were defeating three separate army members.
Where was Order?
I frowned before turning to Kronos, who had appeared next to me, alongside Hyperion.
"Look who's cornered?" they both snickered and stabbed forward.
I ducked, their swords slicing right above my head into each other. They burst into dust.
"Seriously, dudes! That's the most classic trick ever!"
I saw the rest of the army beat Koios to the death and the seven take Krios. All was going well.
