PERCY JACKSON

I stood there, heaving for breath, palms resting against my thighs, doubled over from pain and exhaustion. Everyone was running in an instant. I snapped my fingers and Void chains appeared, re-chaining Order. Just like she should be. Locked away. And even if she was unconscious, I spoke to her.

"You're a fool, Order, if you think you could destroy the people I love most and get away with it. If you thought you could use so many people and succeed in the end with only yourself victorious."

Order remained unconscious while I felt Micheal treating my wounds, urging me to the infirmary. Before I was shoved inside, I turned to the commanders of Order, who were kneeling next to Hannah's body.

"I'm sorry," I called to them and they all looked, "I loved her as much as you guys did and if it weren't for the fact that Order was wrong... betrayal would never have been the answer."

Micheal shoved me into the infirmary, shooting sedative into my arm so he could treat me better with no pain, and I drifted into the realm of Morpheus.

I was dragged into the infirmary, leaning heavily on Jason as blood poured out of my side and leg, as well as a head gash. I winced as I felt them cleaning each wound. I eventually started to scream so loud that they had to inject sedative into my arm to silence me and put me out of my misery for a bit.

I was dreaming... but I was in a pitch black space. You couldn't tell if it was a room or not... just that you could run, walk, do anything. I continued walking, not sure where I was, when I hit something like a wall. Great. It's a black space where you can't see where you're going. Then, I saw a figure sitting with his wings spread out, running a hand through his messy black hair.

"Percy?" I called and his head snapped up, staring at me.

Yep. It was Percy. With those sea-green eyes. Those beautiful teeth. I ran to him, hugging him even if it was only a dream. I knew this feeling was real. He tensed at first with my touch, but melted into it slowly. I pulled away and took a deep breath, feeling tears running down my face.

"I'm sorry for everything I've done," I said, remembering what Hannah had said to me. "I kick myself everyday and every night for what I've done to you. I really have. I wish you'd come back and forgive me every day. I'd give anything in the world to do that... Do you understand, Percy Jackson? I love you. I always have and always will."

Percy stared at me with a surprised expression on his normally painfully vacant face.

PERCY JACKSON

It's never too late to turn back...

I had told that to Hannah. Now, looking into Annabeth's gray, pleading eyes, filled with the love I knew she had in me when we were sixteen and first started dating, I realized... I loved her. Even all these years. And through her memories, I could see her going everywhere trying to find me. Made sinister deals with people that could give her even the slightest hint as to where I was.

Like when she went to a hair salon woman who claimed she saw me running somewhere, but would ask for Annabeth's hair if she were to tell Annabeth where I was. Annabeth took no second in letting the lady shave her hair bald to donate to cancer children. Or when Annabeth had to go through Tartarus again to find another clue from Tartarus himself. Or when Annabeth had to donate liters of her own blood just to get a small clue. She even traded her own invisibility cap for a small bead that had fallen off of my necklace and landed in the sand while I was traveling.

She loved me. All these years. So even if it was just a dream and I was staring at her like an idiot, I leaned over and kissed her. Kissed her with all my strength. The taste of strawberries flooded into my mouth. I could feel her hands on me, stroking my face, playing with my hair. I cupped her cheeks, enjoying the feeling of her teared up face underneath my hands, rough from all these years of war.

I turned back. And I knew now that the past didn't just hold my strength. It held my happiness.

When we pulled away, Annabeth sighed, looking me straight in the eyes.

"Is there anything else you would need to know, my darling good sir, Seaweed Brain?" Annabeth joked and I laughed.

I became intense for a second.

"Does... does everyone else feel bad about what they did?" I whispered softly.

Annabeth grabbed my face.

"They blame themselves everyday. Piper gave up half of her charmspeaking ability to try and find you. Jason gave his coin sword to someone who told him he knew where you were. Frank had to burn off part of his stick so he could at least find a little clue. Hazel had to fight through tons of people in a barren arena with her spatha just to get a small tracking device that didn't even work. Leo spent five hundred years building a gadget that could try and locate you and he tried doing that for another five hundred years until you came."

I stared in shock. They did all that for... me? Annabeth wasn't done.

"And Nico searched the Underworld day and night to try and find you, even having to offer Tartarus's blood to Erebus so he could finally get a clue. Reyna donated one of her kidneys in exchange for directions as to where she could likely find you. Thalia gave up her spot as lieutenant so she could go off and try to find you. Grover quit the Cloven Elders when they told him it would be useless to go out and find you. Clarisse even disowned herself from Ares when he refused to let her search for you..." Annabeth was crying. "We all love you, Percy. We always have."

I didn't know what to say... but I couldn't say anything because the dream was fading away into nothingness.

"Percy, just talk to them," Annabeth was saying as I slowly awoke, "Just like you did with me."

I woke up. The first thing I said to myself was, "So I have to kiss them?"
