Chapter 10 || A Rising Threat

--300 YEARS LATER--

PERCY JACKSON

I had just finished another assassin job, coming back into the palace to take a nap. That's when I heard a voice in my head.

Percy, come to the meeting room.

Ugh... I want to take a nap!

Percy, it's URGENT! Your nap can wait!

"I come back from a tiring assassin mission and this is what I get," I muttered under my breath as I entered the meeting room.

I took a seat.

"What's your urgent news, oh mighty Chaos?" I sighed, resting my chin on my palm, "Are you just... dying to ruin my sleep schedule once again?"

"No, Percy. This is no time for jokes."

"If it's no time for jokes, you can call me Thalost."

"Fine. Thalost, this is no time for jokes."

"'kay," I said, raising an eyebrow.

"Do you know who my siblings are?"

We all stared at him.

"What kind of question is that?" Luke asked.

"Do you know the names of my siblings and what they do?"

"No," we all answered in unison.

"There's my younger brother End, and my older sister Void... and then... my twin sister, Order."

"Something tells me you're not besties," Silena winced.

"She tried to f**king kill me," Chaos groaned.

"That's what all siblings do," Zoë laughed, "Do you think I got along with my siblings--"

"No, this is not what I'm talking about! She literally tried to murder me with her weapons, she tried to poison me, and she even tried to fade me! She's evil!"

"Yeah. We get it, Chaos. You hate your sister. Now let me sleep," I groaned.

"No, Thalost. You don't get it. We've been fighting since the beginning to time. Order has the intentions of taking over the entire universe! And she's already taken over at least half of the planets! I can't believe I didn't realize sooner..."

"Okay... where's she headed next? I'm guessing you called us here to stop her?"

"Yes. I've sent Section 1 to Planet Carnet, Section 2 to Planet Uiigan, Section 3 to Planet Errie, Section 4 to Planet Opidum, Section 5 to Planet Vact, and the rest of the army stays on Planet Origin to defend us if Order is to arrive and try and take over my planet, which I doubt."

"Okay... so... what do you want us to do?"

"You're going to a planet. Just the commanders, as Order has her gaze fixed on this planet, and the people there are most vulnerable compared to any other planet."

"Okay? Where are we going? Seriously, man! Speed this meeting up! I need to go to bed!"

"Can't you just summon a bed like you always do?" Bianca frowned.

"Yeah, but I'm lazy today and I really just want to annoy the f**k out of Chaos."

Chaos took a deep breath.

"Percy, you need to swear on the River Styx you won't kill me."

"Okay?" I shrugged, "Tell me."

"You're going to Planet Earth."

"WHAT?!" I yelled, wings cracking out of my back in an angry whip.

"AHHH!" Chaos let out a high-pitched scream and hid behind Luke.

I took out my sword, throwing it in a flip and catching it again. It glinted in the dim light of the moon, showing nothing but death and destruction in its reflection.

"I'm not going," I narrowed my eyes.

"Percy, they need you!"

"And I needed them, but guess what they did? They betrayed me. I got kicked in the back by someone I tried to be friends with. It's enough trusting my commander friends and even you! But imagine me having to trust everyone around me! After I was crushed!" I exploded.

"Percy, they're dead," Bianca said, "It's been a thousand years! Earth hasn't done anything to you."

"And if Order takes over Earth and she wins, she'll come to Origin next. If we can kill her at Earth, she'll harm one less planet in the universe!" Silena added.

"Come on, Perce..." Beckendorf pleaded.

I took a deep breath and stared out the window.

"Fine," I said softly.

"What?" everyone turned to me.

"I said fine. I'll do it."

And I walked out of the room.

Somewhere...

"Lady Order, I think Origin is the best place to attack right now," one of Order's servants hissed.

"Chaos is there," Order glared straight ahead of her, "Earth is best. Those Earthlings have absolutely no idea what they're up against. The rest of the galaxy is prepared. Chaos must be ten times as prepared."

She chuckled.

"I mean... I can't blame him. I am awesomely good and destroying people."

She stared out into the galaxy from her position.

"After I take over the galaxy... I'm gonna be Queen Order. And everything will go my way instead of my brother's way. No more 'Chaos is so great' and no more 'let's all listen to Chaos'. It'll be all Order."

Order let out an evil cackle before grunting when she realized she was still in shackles. Even if her army was out there, destroying the other planets, she knew she'd have to break free in order to destroy Chaos's favorite planet. Funny, how Chaos favored the weakest planets over the strongest. Another reason Chaos was unfit to rule over her.

Order would have it her way if it was the last thing she did.
