"Ugh finally!" Nini exclaims, as the last bell rings.
Nini and Kourtney both walk out of their chem class and into the hallway. They turn to each other.
"I...am so freaking excited to get out of this place, Kourt. I don't have to be around him anymore.", She says while eyeing down a curly-haired boy.
She looks over to where Nini is staring and raises her eyebrows.
"Ricky?! Still? Neens...it has been sixteen years that you've hated him. How do ya'll still even hate each other? How about you like...try to talk to him or something...", Kourtney suggests, "You do realize this summer were all going to be hanging out...together."
"Kourtney! Why!" She exclaims while playfully hitting her shoulder.
"Nini...were all the drama dorks. Like seriously we only have each other so- "
Nini rolls her eyes, "Welp...guess I won't be showing up. I am not spending my summer with him."
"With who?", a female voice asks.
"Oh, hey Ash...uhm...nobody.", Nini responds.
"Don't...tell me you're talking about Ricky. When's the last time you talked to him girl?"
"Can we...not right now? He is a total basketball jerk. Just like all the others."
"Okay anyways...I'm throwing an end of school party tonight with the other drama students. Ya'll wanna join?"
Nini stutters. Then Kourtney answers.
"Yes! We'll both be there!"
Ashlyn nods and then walks off. Nini faces Kourtney with a straight face.
"Kourtney. I am not going to that party.", Nini demands, pointing her finger at her.
"Uh...girl. Yes. Yes, you are. Now...let's go back to my house and I'll get you a fab outfit and do your makeup!", Kourtney squeals as she holds Nini's arm and walks her out the school building. Nini grunts.
{At Kourtney's house}
"Alright Neens...we goin glam or natural?"
Nini scoffs, "how about neither?"
Kourtney rolls her eyes at her and then does a natural make up look on her.
"Maybe...you could talk to Ricky tonight...you know? Like normally human beings?" Kourtney suggests.
"Ha yeah no. And don't even mention his name. That dude is a total jerk...like I've already said."
"NEENS! Would you relax a little girl...just give him a chance?"
"Kourtney...no! He hates me the same too. And...I know what you're thinking. Never in a million years will we ever be a couple. So...you can say goodbye to that."
Kourtney sighs with a small chuckle, "You...are so stubborn."
{Big Reds house}
"Dude...just talk to her. Do you know what a conversation is?"
"Oh. My. Gosh. When will you stop askin man?! Yes, I know what a conversation is. And no, I am not talking to her. She's such a brat and so annoying.
"But dude you never kno- ", Big Red gets cut off when he notices Ricky giving him the death stare.
"Stop. Talking. About. It.", Ricky demands.
"K dude...just get ready for the party already."
The entire friend group, EJ, Ashlyn, Nini, Ricky, Carlos, Seb, Kourtney, and Big Red all knew how Ricky and Nini despised each other since they first met. And...they all agreed they could be pretty good friends and maybe even more if they tried.
Both Kourtney and Big Red were trying to convince them to talk to each other at the party tonight. But these two...they hated each other so much. Little did they know... the group had a plan that was going to take place...tonight...at Ashlyn's party.
