It's been a few days since Ricky and Ethan's fight. Ricky's bruises were slowly healing and going away. Ethan ended up getting fired from his job at the coffee shop, thanks to Nini. Nini's and Ricky's feelings for each other were growing, fast. Now, they were sneaking kisses and flirting. It made Nini confused, she knew she wanted to date Ricky...but she was waiting until he asked her. She wanted to take it slow and not push it.
The friend group, Nini, Ricky, EJ, Big Red, Ashlyn, Gina, Seb, Kourtney and Carlos all decided to take a road trip up to Ashlyn and EJ's family lake house. Nini, Ricky, EJ, and Gina were all driving together while the rest drove in a separate car. They decided to leave during the evening, to avoid traffic.
It was the morning of the day they were supposed to leave and Nini and Ricky were packing their bags in their rooms. Nini was in her bathroom packing her hairbrush, toothbrush, hair ties, and more necessities when she saw Ricky walk in, in the reflection of the mirror.
"Hey there" Nini said, keeping her front facing the mirror but leaning her head back to look at him.
Ricky hugged her around the waist and rested his chin on her shoulder, Nini leaning her head on him.
"Whatcha doin?" She asked.
"Oh, nothing...I needed a Roberts hug." He says, smiling.
"Well...it's your lucky day because you've got a Roberts standing right in front of you.", She turns around and wraps her arms around his neck, giving him a hug. She pulled away and looked at him.
"Did you finish packing?"
"No where near done." He laughs.
"Well, you better get packing mister Bowen." She speaks.
"Yeah...yeah. Just wanted to come say hello to you." He says, rolling his eyes.
They finish packing a couple hours later and then go downstairs to have some lunch. Nini's moms made them sandwiches.
"You two be careful on your trip now you hear me?", Dana says.
"Yes, yes we know...we will I promise."
Ricky was staring off, like he was in deep thoughts, not paying attention to the conversation.
"And so will Ricky." Nini says patting his shoulder. He snaps out of it then nods, smiling.
They finish their sandwiches and then head back up into Nini's room.
Nini yawns, "I might take a nap before we go...so I can attempt to stay awake."
Ricky laughs, "That sure won't happen."
"Hey! You never know..." Nini replies, giggling.
"Oh, I know. Give it like two hours and you'll be passed out on my lap." He smirks.
Nini rolls her eyes at him, "You're so annoying Bowen. It's not my fault your laps the best place to sleep." She smiles.
She lays in her bed and Ricky comes and sits next to her.
"You gonna take a lil power nap? He laughs.
"You know it."
She pulls her blanket up over here and she had the Build-a-Bear, that she named Franklin, cuddled up beside her.
After some time, she was asleep and Ricky was sitting next to her, admiring her. His phone rang. It was EJ facetiming him.
He answered whispering, "Hello? What's up?"
