Nini finally calmed down from the party situation and was up in her room playing around with tunes on her uke when her mom knocked on the door.
"Hey Neens...dinner's done if you wanna come eat..."
Nini opens the door, "great! I'm starving!"
She walks downstairs to see her favorite meal sitting on the table.
"Aw! You guys made my fav!", She exclaims as she sits down and starts to dig in.
"Hey Neens! We have some great news for you!", both her moms say, smiling.
Nini looks up, "Oh! I could use some good news right now!"
"Okay...so...Ricky is staying with us for the summer!", her mom's say in unison with a bright smile.
Nini chokes on her food, "I'm sorry who...?"
"Ricky? You know...Richard Bowen? Goes to your school...lives just down the street?"
"Oh uh- yeah yeah...", she fakes a smile, "exciting! But uhm...why exactly?"
"His mom just moved out...I'm not sure why. But his dad is leaving on a work trip for the summer and doesn't wanna leave Ricky home alone for that long. So, we told him that he could stay with us!" Dana explains.
"Oh...okay great. Uhm- Can I-...be excused?" Nini stutters as she rushes upstairs to her room.
{Bowen Household}
"THE ROBERTS?!"
"Ricky...calm down! What's the deal?!" Mike questions.
"Dad- It's just...me and her are not- you know what? It's okay...Roberts household it is for the summer!" Ricky replies as he pats his dads' arm and runs upstairs.
Ricky quickly gets out his phone and calls Big Red.
[Call]
"Dude...you would not believe what just happened."
"What happened?"
"I guess I'm staying with Nina for the entire summer."
"Nina...as in Nina Roberts?!"
"I wish I could say no..."
"Oh man...good luck dude. But hey...maybe ya'll with be friends after this?"
"I- Dude..."
They hang up the call and Ricky starts packing his things.
{Nini's House}
"Kourtney. I am going to blow!" Nini shouts over the phone.
"Woah...girl calm yourself. What happened?"
"Turns out Richard Bowen is bunking with us until the next school year starts and summers over."
"Oh...girl. Now's your time to change the relationship ya'll got. Become friends with him Neens. This'll be good for you two!"
Nini hangs up out of anger and she jumps onto her bed and lets out a huge sigh. She ended up falling asleep...until she heard the doorbell.
{Outside her door}
"Alright Ricky...behave while you stay here, please." Mike pleads.
"I will. I will. See you when you get home. Love you Dad!"
