Chapter 10: Snapchat

Ricky looks puzzled, "No...no. It's Ethan." 

A look of terror comes across Nini's face, realizing she never unadded Ethan. Her head falls into the palm of her hand.

On the inside...Ricky is boiling. He was getting worked up and frustrated but he was keeping his calm. After everything they'd been through, he didn't want to lash out at Nini again, so he just calmly talked to her.

"Nini...why's he snapping you? Why does he even have your snapchat!?", he asks.

"Ricky...let me explain please.", she says as tears start to flood her eyes in panic that he's going to get upset at her.

Ricky takes a deep breath in then says, "Okay...explain it." He sits down next to her and looks at her while she talks.

"Okay so...when he came and sat down...you know I got nervous and stressed right?" she asks and Ricky nods "yes."

"So...he asked for my number again and I wasn't going to give him that. Then he asked for Instagram or snapchat...and at that point I was getting uncomfortable. So, I was stressed and just gave it to him in hopes he'd maybe leave me alone again. But then he didn't and I- "

"Hey...", Ricky says cutting her off, "It's okay...it's not your fault. And I'm sorry for being overprotective...you should be able to have whoever you want on snapchat."

Nini smiles, "I need all the protecting I can get...this dude is a weirdo. And you're pretty good at doing just that.", she laughs a little, "You can answer him if you want...I'm sure not gonna. But I know you like making people jealous so...have at it. After all...you told him I'm yours so- "

Ricky looks up and smiles at her, his cheeks turning a little red. He didn't realize she had heard that, and he wasn't planning on her knowing but...at the same time he didn't mind.

"You should be in the picture. So, he knows I'm with you." Ricky smirks.

Nini rolls her eyes, "Fine...if I must." She laughs. '

Ricky sits on Nini's bed, and she rests her head on his chest, pretending to be asleep. Ricky takes a picture and captions it with "She's busy" and sends it to Ethan.

"Hopefully that should do it." Ricky laughs. Nini's head remained on his chest, neither of them were moving.

It was approaching dinner time and Nini's mom's arrived home so Ricky and her went downstairs to see them.

"Hey moms!" Nini says.

"Oh, hey you two!", Dana exclaims, "We brought home some pizza for you guys. You must be starving!"

Ricky and Nini looked at each other with wide eyes, it was their favorite food. They both sat down and started eating the pizza. It was nice and warm, with the cheese melted and stringy, and the crust had just the right amount of crunch to it.

They finished their pizza and then threw away their paper plates.

Nini and Ricky were talking at the table while her moms were in the living room. Nini's phone dings and she looks at it and then shows Ricky the notification. The two start giggling because it's Ethan and they enjoyed making him jealous. They ran upstairs, laughing, while Dana and Carol just looked at each other.

"They sure are having a grand ol time, aren't they?" Carol asks. Dana nodding while laughing a little.

Nini and Ricky jump onto her bed and then open the snap. Nini rolls her eye at the sight of it.
