It's been a week since Ricky's "moved" in with the Roberts and it's going well. Nini's finally let up a little bit and Ricky and her haven't gotten into any major arguments for the entire week. Just a few small, quick ones here and there. They both thought that having each other around was pretty nice...though they didn't want to admit it.

It was late at night and Ricky and Nini were chilling her room together.

"Hey Bowen" Nini said while strumming her ukulele.

"Hey...Roberts?", he replied confused, looking up from the basketball game playing on her TV.

"Why'd your mom move out?"

"Oh uh- it's...nothing." Ricky stuttered.

She stared at him with a smirk.

"Bowen...you suck at lying..." She giggles.

He laughs a little, "It's...it's a long story."

"I've got the time. You know...it's not good to bottle up your feelings. And I can tell you're doing just that." She rolls her eyes.

"Woah...so you a therapist now too Roberts? Wow you can do everything" He replied sarcastically.

"I hate you."

"She just moved out because of family problems. Nothing too...uh- big." Ricky explained.

They kept going back n forth for around 15 minutes before Ricky finally gave in and started to explain the story.

"My mom and dad got a divorce." Ricky told, "And my mom found a new...boyfriend in uh...Chicago...so she moved there after signing the divorce papers."

He continued explaining the story and he started to get choked up on his words. He never liked talking about it as it normally made him upset. He finished telling the story and realized his eyes were filling up with tears. Nini noticed.

"Hey...I'm really sorry. I can't imagine going through a change like that..." Nini whispered. She could tell that he was about to burst out crying and so in the spur of the moment she pulled him into a hug, wrapping her arms around his neck and her hands tangled in his curly hair. He hugged her back, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his hands on her back. They hugged tightly for about a minute and then let go, her hands remained around his neck and his hands fitting perfectly on her waist. They both just stared into each other's eyes for a moment, soaking in what just happened. They have never hugged. Ever.

"Uh- I should probably go to bed..." Nini announced. Ricky nodding.

They both let go of each other and just as Ricky was walking out of her room he said "Thanks...Roberts", with a light smile across his face, "You know...you're still very annoying and stubborn."

"And you...are the same old basketball jerk that I hate. Night..." She replied.

"Night..." he said as he closed her door.

The two both sat on their beds, in their different bedrooms, just staring at the wall. Both wondering what happened. Though they didn't admit it...but things felt different now. A good different. The way Ricky's hands fit perfectly around her waist...and the feeling of Nini's hands intertwined in Ricky's curly, fluffy, hair couldn't escape their thoughts. They liked that feeling...and they wanted to experience it again...but maybe even better...or more than just a hug.
