Nini slowly opens her eyes, the sun shining through her window.

"Morning!", a boy's voice says.

She looks up to see Ricky still sitting by her side, smiling at her.

"Hey...you're still here?"

"Rain went on all night...hope you don't mind...I didn't wanna leave you alone." He says nervously.

Nini shifts around in the bed to face him and yawns, "I don't mind."

She pulls the bed covers off and then quickly puts her legs back under, making Ricky laugh.

"My gosh it's freezing...can you grab me a hoodie please?" Nini asks.

Ricky gets up and goes to her drawers.

"I.... I don't see any Nini."

"Dang it. I need to do laundry." She angrily whispers.

"You want mine? Here.", Ricky says as he starts taking off his hoodie.

"Ricky its oka- ", she's cut off by Ricky throwing it in her face. He laughs.

Nini rolls her eyes and then puts the hoodie on. She's comfortable now, the hoodie still being warm from Ricky wearing it.

"I gotta run out really quick and grab some things but you wanna hang later?" Ricky says.

"You know it", Nini says smiling, "Bye! Don't get into trouble Bowen!"

He shakes his head, laughing, as he walks out of her room.

Nini eventually rolls out of bed and gets ready. She was gonna change but decided to just keep his hoodie on for today. After she was done getting ready, she walked downstairs to see her moms talking.

"Hey Momma C and Momma D" Nini said.

"Hey sweet pea! Is that...Ricky's hoodie?" they question.

"Oh...yeah. He gave it to me this morning."

They just smile and stare at her.

"Uh...okay I am gonna run to the coffee shop and I'll be back later." She says as she walks out the door.

She walks outside, it's cold and the wind is blowing through her hair. She was glad she kept his hoodie on.

After a few minutes she arrives and walks inside. This is Nini's favorite place. Everybody pretty much knows her since she would come so often. But today...she noticed the same new barista she's been seeing for the past couple of days.

She walks up to the counter.

"Hello! Welcome in! What can I get for you?", a boy around her age asked.

"Um...could I please get an iced vanilla caramel latte along with a breakfast sandwich?"

"Of course."

Just as Nini is handing the boy her card to pay he whispers, "Don't worry about it. I'll pay for it."

Nini's eyes widened, "Oh...uh thank you?"

She was confused on why he was paying for her, but she went along with it. She sat at a table near the window and after some time her drink and food came out. Brought by the same boy. He set down her order and then smiled at her.
