chapter 14:Her sad song

Its been a couple of days since what happened to tsume, i wanted to see her really bad, so bad i wanted to skip work but i didnt want to be a bother to any of the gems, i haven't seen amy as of late so i guess she was busy as well. I headed over to her cafe that was open but every time i went to get food for me and mr smily i haven't seen her, when i asked her friends and workers they don't know what happened to her. I thought about going to her house but i didnt think i had the right to go, so i drew myself into my job so i wouldn't be so worried about her

Later in the afternoon i couldn't take it anymore and run to tsume place, i knocked on the door after making sure with myself if this was what i truly wanted, the door opened as jasper stood there...wait no, this one looked different from jasper. This gem looked like her but was thin and had on skinny jeans and a crop top

"What can i do for you human?"

The gem asked as she looked at me waiting for me to speak

"Uh, im here to see tsume. Is she here?"

"Well yes but she can not be seen right now"

"Why not?"

"I was told by jasper to turn all visitors away until tsume is better "

"Oh. ok thank you"

I said and started to walk away heading home, as i was walking home i ran into amethyst who seemed really sad. I went over to her to see if she was ok and was a little happy to see me, we went to the pizza shop to talk, surprising to hear amy wasnt hungry

"How is she?"

I asked breaking the Silence, she sighs and looked up at me

"From what garnet told us tsume isn't allowed to go on any more mission with us"

"Why not?"

"She has...a bad heart. I didnt understand what she means by that but pearl explained it the best she could if tsume pushes herself too much she could die."

Amy said, i was shocked i would never have guess tsume was sick, and now that i think about it tsume probity started the cafe when finding out herself

"Do you think she knows?"

"Probably...but if she did why would she willingly put herself through that, she could have died! She could have told me, i was always by her side when i met her, i thought...we were close"

Amy said as she looked away from me, i could see she was trying to hide her pain as she whipped her tears away.

"Did...jasper know?"

I questioned as she shook her head. She didn't know she always thought when tsume never went to work on some days she just thought she was being lazy.

"And now I know why"

i said in a whisper, I didn't know how to make amethyst smile again after this after learning the truth of tsume's health. It made me wonder why she would push herself to the limit and why she kept such a secret from her friends, but I guess if I was in her shoes I would have kept a secret too.

"Can you help me into her house there's another Jasper look-alike that won't let me in"

I asked her as she looked up at me and sigh

"I thought I told you to stop thinking you have a chance with her."

She said as her voice sounded annoyed. But I wasn't trying to get in there to make it seem like I was intruding or anything of what amethyst thought but then again in the back of my mind, I knew that I was.

"I'm sorry, I know I don't know her as long as you do but.... I am kind of worried about her."

I said to amethyst, I wanted to show her that I do care about tsume in both friend and relationship way.
