As the days went by, vex continued working with mr. Smiley, even though mr. Smiley didn't want him to start his work shift back early. vex had nothing better to do but get his mind off of things that were bothering him and just continued on with his work. He was fixing up one of the arcade machines and wondered how tsume was feeling since he couldn't go over there to check on her because of Jasper, he heard last from Steven that she was only back to her old self and was back at work. He wanted to go see her and also get food for him and his boss lunch time

When he finally finished up with the machine he dusted himself off and told mr. Smiley that he was going to head off to the elemental Café

"don't forget to tell your girlfriend I said hi"

mr. Smiley said teasing vex as he gave a laugh, He knew his boss was teasing him so we didn't make much of a fuss about it. Walking down the boardwalk he turned the corner to where he saw the elemental Cafe and was surprised to see an actual line.

"I guess they're busy today"

he said as he saw amethyst and Steven in the line as well

"Hey guys, what's going on?"

"Hey vex"

Steven greeted

"The elemental Cafe is actually having a limited time of holiday drinking food."

He explained as vex saw the sign on top of their shop that said holiday special.

"Is that why you're in the line as well?"

He asks that is amethyst nodded

"there's no way that I'm going to miss on something this big that could absolutely be really delicious"

Amethyst said licking her lips

"I'm guessing picking up anything normal is out of the question today isn't it?"

He asked them as they told him it was going to be a while for them to get anything even if it's just a normal lunch. Just as he was about to leave amethyst grab them putting him back into line

"where do you think you're going, you're going to try this special deal with us as well"

"amethyst I can't stay you do realize I have work"'

Vex I told her but she didn't care

" if your boss want some of this as well you might as well order 2

she said with a laugh, so vex called his boss and told him the situation that was going down at the elemental Cafe, thinking that his boss was going to tell him to forget it he actually got the yelling of the lifetime telling him to stay in line in order for of the meals along with the drinks and he didn't care how long it took

"I guess I'm staying in line"

Vex said after hanging up the phone as Amethyst laughed again realizing that she was right. After hours in line they were able to get the food as vex was about to head back since he knew that mr. smiley would be waiting, once back his boss was happy to get the food and even thanked vex, when his time at work came to an end he walked home only to get stopped when seeing Amy and tsume on the boardwalk chatting

"Hey girls, where are you two heading?"

Vex asked as tsume smiled

"I'm taking amy out with me, you know a little girl shopping and games"

Tsume said as vex could Amy happy about this and trying to hide her blushing face

"That's nice, have fun"
